Will we be able to meet important people we know lived at th

Divayth Fyr is a young whippersnapper of barely 3000 during the time of the MMO.

The Dunmeri Triune is at the height of their power.

Will we be able to meet these and other people, do you think?
Would you like to or not, and why?

Personally, I hope that this will be possible, that they are represented as NPC's in the game.
But I also really hope they will be done justice, and established lore is adhered to as much as possible and fun.

Hopefully we will. On the other hand, besides the ones you mentioned, not a great number of famous Tamriel figures are alive during the time period, and I think that's probably intentional as well.

Thats true, we dont know a lot about that time.

Still, we know some things about the world, like that Bosmer cities are migratory trees.
Mannimarco is also around, so is the mages guild.
I hope that all these little things will be represented in the game.

He certainly was alive near the end of the Second Era. Whether he appears depends on how close the game is set to the Era's end. I think there's a strong possibility it will be set a century or so before Hjalti's birth.

If we should take '1000 years before Skyrim' literally then it will take place around 2E500.
Hjalti was born around 2E827.

We dont really know much about the fifth, sixth and seventh century of the second era, and I agree with you that its likely the game will be set during that time. Its a handy way to avoid conflicts with existing lore.

http://www.imperial-library.info/content/second-era is a timeline of the second era.

Merari's right; Lore-wise the war between the three pacts is canon, theres even a few books describing events from the war (Mannimarcos conquest of dagger fall for example). But the result and history of the following years are completely in the dark. Canon wise there's no known winner or ruler. The good Hjalti cleans up a couple of hundreds of years later. They even got the 'the dragon fires protecting from the realms of oblivion' covered, the amulet of king lies buried in sancre tor until Talos get's it a couple hundred years later (but it won't be there, I know the secret and WILL retrieve it for myself)

I want to see members of House Telvanni. UESP says they didn't join the Ebonheart Pact.

Without question, one of my all time favorite NPC of any game. It was very disheartening when she could not be romanced or used as a follower. Definitely one I plan to seek out in the future of ESO.

If movies are an accurate recapitulation of history, then Honest Abe was an axe wielding vampire shredder. I thought it said "based on a true story" at the beginning of the film, so you know it is true.

I'm fairly certain we'll be seeing all the Tribunal in the game. Almalexia is apparently a prominent member of the Ebonheart Pact. Almalexia is also very aware of what Molag Bal has done and how he's taken your soul. She often tells her followers that you're "the one with no soul," and sends her condolences.

While playing, a worshipper of Sotha Sil hinted at the idea of me visiting him in the near future.

Not sure about Vehk, but i'm sure if we're seeing 2/3 we'll see our hermaphrodite friend again!

It'd be fun to run into Yagrum Bagarn too, since he'd be in better shape at this point, looking for his lost people!

And well.. we know M'aiq is in the game..
