Will I be able to play characters from all three factions so I can do all the PvE quest lines from each one?

And what are the rules for the PvP zone-- can I only play one faction in PvP and my characters from the other two factions will have to stay out of it or have some sort of lockout timer?

And what does the lockout timer mean-- a certain number of hours will have to pass before I can go from playing my Daggerfall character to one of my characters in another alliance-- or will that lockout only affect the PvP zone and be timed from when my account last went into the PvP zone?

Sorry, but with all the server problems and it being virtually impossible to finish quest lines, I gave up at level 6 and started crafting and harvesting for the remainder of the weekend, so I didn't get into the PvP zone like I originally wanted to do.

A character upon finishing their faction story, is able to do lvl 50+ content in other factions.

To prevent pvp issues, if you have characters of different factions, they cannot be part of the same campaign as your alts.

edit: I'll be honest though, what the do content in other factions means I am unsure of. I dont know if it means the same quests that the new players would do(only scaled to higher level) or if it is an entirely different storyline if you play through those zones as 50+ content

I think it was just gain access to a differfent faction's storyline and quests. Though from an interview vid that was linked in a thread here, looks like you have to pick and complete the second storyline you pick before you are allowed to do the 3rd and final one.

I so wish the server had been functional these past couple betas so I could have seen PvP for myself, and how it works with characters of different factions on one account. As it was, I couldn't even level one toon much.

For Cyrodiil there's numerous campaigns going on at once that people can play on. Think of it like different instances of it. So if you're on DC and playing in campaign A then if you make an alt on AD you couldn't join that campaign and instead would have to select say campaign B.

The game itself(pve) is one big server that is sharded(instanced) to all hell and back. But Pvp in Cyrodiil is a bit different. You pick a campaign(like a server for most other games) that you wish to take a part in and when you wish to pvp you zone into the giant map that is Cyrodiil.

To help prevent people from just going from alt to alt in the same pvp campaign depending on who is winning, they have stated that you can only have one faction in any one campaign. If you have alts are in the same alliance, they can go to the same campaign as your main. If your alts are of different alliances, they will have to go to other campaigns.
