Why is it that everyone with a good computer ask the same questions all the time. Yes, you have a good computer, you can play it.

I don't think low settings would be a problem at all!

An average gaming laptop can easily outperform a 360, which is what Skyrim is designed for.

My laptop isn't a gaming laptop.. it can barely run Bioshock.

: Intel? HD Graphics

That doesn't tell us anything at all.

No system requirements have been announced yet, so that's just speculation.

My graphics card is Intel HD Graphics.. problem?

Well a quick google search shows that there is Intel HD graphics 3000 and 2000 integrated graphics, both of which are classed as entry level and casual in terms of rendering capability. So the answer to if you can run it is, barely but probably not as I figure Skyrim will be a bit more intensive than Bioshock.

Yeah. My card is an HD Radeon.

You see how little that tells people about my card?

A guy I know has been looking at the following laptop. I was wondering whether it might, in anyone's opinion, run Skyrim on minimum settings? He is not expecting to get above minimum, but would happy just to be able to run it.

i5-Dual Core Mobile Processor 2410M 2.3 Ghz
4GB RAM
GeForce GT 520M
500GB HDD 7200rpm 16MB cache
Windows 7 64-bit

Screen optimum resolution 1366x768.

Thanks.

Keep in mind that SR will be running on the same hardware as OB and will be much more optimized. SR will run pretty well on that system.

I'll let him know, much appreciated. He'll still be insanely jealous of my desktop, but the thought that he will be able to run Skyrim well will console him.

Intel HD Whatever is integrated graphics chip built into the motherboard, which means it's pretty much good for Roller Coaster Tycoon.

Install Oblivion and see how that runs. Skyrim will run as good or worse IMO.

EDIT: The RCT comment was obviously sarcastic. Just don't expect to run anything too intensive on it.
