Will Brink come out with PS3 and XBOX 360 demo? : Othor Games

Like most games, they make demos for xbox 360 early on but for the ps3 user, we get cut out until the game is released or even after. I think that brink and gamesas should sack up and release a demo for the general puplic for both systems at the same date.

No demo is currently planned for either or PC.

They did a special beta for PS3 in order to iron out the problems with the system and its over.

I do hope they release a demo. Not just for my enjoyment but because Brink is a new IP and some people may be leery of it. A demo could seal the deal for a lot of people that are on the fence.

That would be milking BRINK. It would be unfair to offer someone a demo for actual cash, considering this doesn't happen for other games, and SD would experience a rapid decline in interest.

However if done incorrectly it could lose a lot of people. For example Crysis 2 lost me at the demo.

True but from everything I've read and I'm sure you have as well it doesn't seem like Brink has left a bad taste in anyones mouth so far,really. Crysis 2 always seemed boring and mostly generic. The demo sure proved me right lol.

i liked Crysis 2's demo but i heard it got alot of issues. mine was pretty great online play was really fun was combat sliding+shotgunning peoples and mega jumping, stealth kills really neat like if halo got mixed with MOH or something.

thats how i felt, i loved the running and sliding but then i was like, "brink's going to have all of this and more so..."

That happends to me too I tried the demo my internet works but no one is there ****!!

I think he was referring to the fact that one the demo, if you go invisible with a shotgun you could trash the other team. That's what I did and I got so bored it wasn't even funny.

I was talking to HORSE the other day (Last week) and he sent me a message saying that on Xbox.com with those community play date lists. And one of the games on the list was Brink at April 16. I still don't think there is going to be one, But i sure hope so.

If anything, they should do it like Enemy Territory Quake Wars has thier demo - Only one map that includes every function in the game. No character progression, or limited progression that doesnt transfer over to the real game.

I was sketchy of Quake Wars before the demo, but it really changed my mind - next purchase I make over Steam is for Quake Wars.

The demo for Quake Wars was waaaaay more fun than the full game. The demo was ridiculously fun and I stayed on it for months, but when I finally threw up my hands and bought the final game all the other missions disappointed me. Played the full game for less time than I did the demo.

Anyways, I'm hoping they release a demo. I have some friends who will only buy the game if it either has a fun demo or is an established IP that they know won't svck. =/

Sadly, this is what most of the gaming population is like, so new IP's like Brink are gonna have a tough time getting people to buy, i remember lots of people who wasn't sure on buying Bioshock when it came out, cause the demo which apperantly wasn't that great, i never played the demo but alot of people thought it was crappy because of the demo, if SD is going to release a demo, there going to relesase the, GREATIST DEMO EVEERRRRRRRRRRRRR (echo) ever ever ever ever ever. :clap:
