So will a broadsword user not be able to use magic?

Maybe you are still able to ready a spell in one hand but during combat and movement, both hands will be used so you won't actually see the spell until you cast it.

Either that, or two handed weapons have been completely removed.

All Dragonborn are strong enough to wield Claymores with one hand. (Hopefully not)

I'm hoping that players wielding items in both hands (dual wield, sword & shield, two-handed weapons) can still cast magic. For two-handed weapons, perhaps the weapon will be held with one hand while the spell is cast, but blocking or attacking is not allowed while casting with a two-handed weapon.

IMO, the way spells were cast in Oblivion were quite good. Now that spells can be equipped in one hand, maybe "equipping" the spell would automatically ready it, while if you have both hands occupied with equipment, you would have to experience a readying-delay before you can cast the spell. For example, if you have a fireball already equipped, perhaps you can throw it at once. However, if you're using a claymore, maybe you would have to unready the claymore (hold it on one side) and then create the fireball in your hand before you can throw it.

It's rather simple you know.

You hold your claymore, you want to cast a fireball. You release your left hand, letting your right hold the claymore, and throw the spell. While you're doing this you're just holding on to your sword and you can't attack with it. The spell takes less than a second to cast, meaning that this will have basically no effect on you whatsoever.

How is this even an issue worth bringing up?

Because you have to equip the spell to a hand and if both hands are holding a sword, what will you do? and what will the controls be?

Yes but this game has dual-wielding, and since spells can also be "equipped" we are wondering whether or not you can use them while using a two-handed weapon or if you have to sheathe/unequip it to cast spells.

I don't think I would mind if it was like that, it would make things more challenging I think.
