Will consoles have access to nvde mods

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 3:59 pm

Yeah I look for body mods that improve the body sure, but also improve the look of the underwear as well. There's usually an seperate option for those in some body mods. Because when looting the body, I don't go THAT far.

Not unless they've hidden something in them that is.

If Bethesda Net is used as a 3rd party and I think it will be for obvious reasons (Don't want your console to explode ), No probably not.

I can go either way. With Skyrim, my kids started playing it, so I defaulted to an underwear texture instead of nvde.

When I think of the term "nvde patch" I think back to Tomb Raider, where you have Lara Croft climbing stone ledges and fighting dinosaurs completely naked. That's more of a novelty thing and, in my opinion, fairly immature. There's no proper context for the nudity - it's gratuitous.

I think there are certainly people who use nvde textures and turn into Beavis and Butthead, and I think they give people who do it for RP or realism purposes a bad name.

That being said, I also go for realistic nudity and body shapes for both males and females. My favorite Skyrim body texture (the name escapes me) added a slightly aged look to the skin with moles and other skin imperfections. I used CBBE with the most realistic and moderate female forms.

The only reason I used nvde mods in Fallout games was because removing Raider armor resulted in them being MORE clothed then they ever were in armor.

Your number is totally wrong. NVSE and SKSE are convinient but not a requirement. Actually a ton of mods I would say 80% don't use it.

Thats why the Lone Wanderer always has a stack of Vault Tec Underwear with him. This is the special thing that all Vault Dwellers have to do :) .

Well, nudity isn't AO in many cultures, so the problem is America (or certain other locales) not the nudity itself. Same with other elements (e.g., toilet humor). On the other hand, American TV has been pushing explicit nudity and sixuality in some cases. However, Todd already stated that any explicit nudity or six would not be allowed because Bethesda cannot take the chance, legally speaking. Same thing with killing children or using assets from other games, although for the latter he mentioned that for all he knew, Microsoft might actual create a contract that allowed Halo content to be used by modders (it wouldn't be right now but MS could negotiate such a contract at some point because Halo is their property).

Just fyi, many of the "best" mods (a subjective valuation) are not script extender dependent, including body/character mods and race mods. Same with texture packs and many others.

I very much doubt consoles will see any mods that require tools other than the GECK to make - no models, no textures, just gameplay tweaks and quests.

Yeah, the graphical update mods will never make it to consoles. Doubt many with custom animations will either.

To me it's more about how regardless of how many holes, or how much skin the armor shows, as soon as you rip it from their corpse, everyone is wearing the same Fruit-of-the-Looms as everyone else. It's annoying.

I do have nvde mods, since magic underwear annoys me, and two in some cases it's more realistic. So I strip a raider of all her armor, which essentially consists of two metal boob plates covering her chest, and BAM! Underwear! Where does that even come from, I mean the only things covering her chest were two small pates of metal, now you tell me she had this large undershirt on!! Was it shoved up into her armor for padding?

I also will admit I do enjoy the sight of nvde mods. But I'm not downloading them for the six factor, that I have no need of in my games. But I also won't lie and say it's not appealing either. When done right of course, not the triple H Cupped skinny bodies, who will topple over just by slightly leaning forward. The basic vanilla like bodies are fine.

Why would you need any nvde mods when the protagonist's ass looks so divine in that vault suit?

This always made me laugh too. The bandit is wearing a bandoleer, you strip off the armor and now he is wearing a undershirt.

The prosttutes in NV were silly, too. The one outfit (Chained prosttute, I think) is basically just nipble tape and a corset, but take it off of them, and poof, instant underoos.

Wouldn't that change the rating of the game? At least in the U.S. that would go from a M to an AO I think. So no.. I don't think that stuff is going to happen for consoles.

In the other parts of the world it already is advlts only, so in that regard I don't see the reason why they shouldn't be allowed. It's no excuse to limit the possibilities just because one part of the world is stuck in the dark ages.

Eh its not always about leering at the bewbs. It could also be an immersion factor. Or having clothing that's a tad more revealing then beth would allow. Think of a beach with women in binkinis. Or a man in a mankini.

if they do have rules like no nvde mods theyd logically have to serch all mods posted on the site making it a real pain to make ur mods be on xbox 1 so i imagine most mod authors wont post ther mods ther

I wouldn't think that third-party content (mods) would change the rating of a game.

Todd Howard has already stated in an interview that nudity/six mods will not be allowed on consoles.

I will bet you the two people that download the nudity and six mods for realism are also the same two people that read Playboy for its articles.

Would third party mods constitute a rating change for the base game?

You know how when a print publication or TV show has racy content and the publisher/producer/station have a disclaimer that the views expressed don't represent their organization or it's opinions?
Why wouldn't there just be similar disclaimer for mods?

Also, for lack of a more recent comparison.
I was a tester for the game Darkwatch, which had a very gratuitous six scene- with fully exposed briasts, and was rated M, and was released only for consoles.
