Will crysis 3 be a masterpiece like crysis1??? READ

Post » Tue Dec 04, 2012 12:00 pm

Ok first i'm a huge fan of crytek, crysis 1 and farcry are damm best fps ever created, but after that
comes a disappointment called crysis 2 but I must admit that i really enjoy playing multiplayer, and MP
definitely save bad single player campaign for me...

Now after 1 year they announced crysis 3 and show uss first in-game footage in trailer, must admit
that i'm a little disappointed what i see because looks soo same like C2,but It's Only one level and they got a year to Finish the game, soo i will not judge yet.

OK,so what crysis 3 must have to be success like crysis 1:

1.Bigger/wider levels
2.Must bee way longer than crysis 2,i beat it in 6 hours which is too short compared too C1 and huge far cry.
3.HIGH RES-textures for PC like in crysis 1
4.More advanced graphics options and groundbreaking PC version (we deserve that)
5.Better storyline,C2 was a huge mess....
6.Better AI.
7.More weapons and more weapons Please!!!!!
8.More WOW effect and surprises like in C1,i mean tank battles, space ship, frozen paradise, aircraft carrier, bosses that made crysis 1 Soo Beautiful.
9.Must bee harder,C2 is too easy...
10.More alien types and human enemies.
11.Slightly better destruction.
12.LAG fix in multiplayer.

that's my 12 important improvements what crysis 3 must have.

Sorry for my bad English.

MAXIMUM WAITING

THANK YOU. Someone with ACTUAL constructive criticism and no biching in their suggestions!
Anyways, I agree with all your points, especially because you don't immediately judge the game like all the other guys.

Yeah, I agree with everything here (although I didn't enjoy C2's campaign as much C1, it wasn't horrible).
Definitely much bigger enemies that make you look up and go "...woah..."
There is definitely going to be more weapons- if you watch the trailer, you see TWO new alien guns, and hopefully they're bring back the MOAC along with them.
Also in the trailer, you can see at least one new type of Ceph unit, although personally I hope they also bring back some more squid-looking machines rather than bipedal exosuits.

"Am I the only one who liked Crysis 2's plot more than Crysis'?"

And i dont know why anyone could like the Crysis 2 plot more than Crysis 1s.

In the first game there was some sort of golden thread... as well as an introduction to the whole plot.

Crysis 2 hust throws you in this total confuse story.. you take commands from uknown persons... you just act like a puppet with no brain. It gives you no big answers why the ceph are here (just that they waited here..which was obvious in Crysis1).

All in all Crysis 1s story wasnt that witty but its was comprehensible from the beginning. Crysis 2 was just chaos with a hollywood soundtrack for me. Leaving more Questions than giving answers.

how can we expect the same on pc like the first crysis, when the golden build will be made on the console? The level design can never be the same on console as it is on pc. They will make it bigger with load sections, but never the same as the pc version of part 1. And if they make the build on pc first, the consoles will suffer from this. So dont expect anything like part 1, but more the same like part 2 but this time with nice dx11 from the start and not 3 months later.

If they should decide to make the MP more like the MP from Far cry1 that will be a plus, but the console needs this COD type MP. Dont ask me why. Damn, the mp from FC1 kicked ass1 :)

And no, it's not a confusing story at all just because it's not 100% linear.

I do agree when you say that you're a damn puppet in the game. And they answered some questions: who was behind all this, why were the nanosuits created, and some stuff about the nature of the aliens.

And by the way, that's the way you hype people for a new game, leaving more questions than answers.

@ ESFER25

They answered questions that noone asked before.

Who created the Nanosuit? Who cares? I take things like this as granted...in Crysis 1 its a military piece of tech..
just state of the art military equipment... i was cool with that...and no need to mystify that part of the story.
I was even a bit disappointed that its creation has such a bad (in my opinion) storyline. I would liked it better being created by humans and are equal to the alientech in their own right.

The nature of the aliens:
All it answers is: they adept to their surrounding.... and that was the biggest letdown:
They clearly had the knowledge and power to terraform and adept the nature to their perception.
That was so damn cool and made them so superior...they could freeze everything without much effort.
How "cool" would it have been to freeze down new York and fight on the frozen Sea between liberty island.
The whole freezing and its missing in crysis 2 disappointed me big time...it was a very cool feature in Crysis 1.

The story is even more confusing because it degrades the ling shan incident to a side story not worth mentioning a lot.

@bigboulder

The whole Crysis series is about the Nanosuit. It'd be kinda sad if it was just a military weapon like any gun. Sure, no one ever asked that but, hell, wouldn't be it boring if they didn't change anything? I mean, yeah, the nanosuit is a military gadget... That's all?

I miss old aliens and the fact that they freeze stuff too, but now we know more about them and there are more kind of aliens other than the blue ones. Hell they didn't even have a name before.

And I understand why the incidents in Lingshan weren't mentioned a lot, after all what happened that should be mentioned other than there were aliens and Prophet was there?

I sure miss stuff from Crysis 1 but I still think that Crysis 2 had a better plot.

(we deserve that)
*sigh* no we don't. We don't deserve anything. If Crytek wants the maximum amount of people to buy their game however, they will oblige.

LOLwut? No it wasn't.
In the original Crysis, the nanosuit is just a tool. It was something which kept you alive and allowed you to take on the unbeatable odds, but it didn't play any major part in the story whatsoever. The story was entirely about finding out what the hell the Koreans were doing, and then stopping it when you found out what they'd discovered. It was no different to an FPS game having a gun; it's integral to your survival, but the story doesn't rely on it.

In Crysis 1, you could conceivably remove the nanosuit altogether, and only tiny parts of the game's plot would change. You'd have to have been 'lucky' to survive the original fall, you wouldn't fight Koreans in nanosuits, you'd have to avoid the flash-freezing at the excavation site and you'd have to find a different way to control yourself in the alien ship.

Crysis 2 without the nanosuit is nothing.

I don't think you fully get my point.

I'm not saying that the main plot is about the nanosuit. What I'm trying to say is that the nanosuit makes Crysis what it actually is (Crysis without the nanosuit would be pretty much Far Cry with flying aliens), not the aliens or Koreans, so making it more relevant to the plot like they did in Crysis 2 makes sense.

I got your point exactly as you expressed it. If you meant something different to what you said, that's your fault, not mine.

What I'm trying to say is that the nanosuit makes Crysis what it actually is (Crysis without the nanosuit would be pretty much Far Cry with flying aliens), not the aliens or Koreans, so making it more relevant to the plot like they did in Crysis 2 makes sense.
Making it relevant to the plot is what they did in the original; the suit was relevant in the sense it was a piece of advanced military hardware supplied to an elite team of spec ops soldiers. In Crysis 2, what they did was make it the basis of the plot. The two are not the same.

There is no sense in making something which was only a tool into an integral plot element. What I suspect happened, is Crytek made a business decision. Moving into the console market, it makes a lot of sense to focus your game around the most unique identifying feature.

Well to be fair Crysis 2 is just "yet another shooter" but with a nanosuit
