Camping doesn't bother me so much in this game, because I've found it quite easy to get people out of camping spots, unlike MW where you can camp and have plenty of cover. I will be the first to admit that I do technically camp/control an area but I always go after my dog tags then return to my sniper point.

It's impossible to sit in the same spot in both maps nowhere is safe and the killcam helps alot, and the proximity alarm really only gives you 2seconds notice that someone is near.

So I don't think it will be a big a problem as it is in MW2 and Black Ops. Also respawning in this game is so much better.

Shame sniper class achievements are locked in the demo, kills are frivolously easy, get about 25 kills per round, only 25% of the people gaming discovered nanovision, to a sniper its over powered, i mean you an see through walls, and sniper bullets love to go through walls, at least if there not made of concrete at least, and yes nanovision snuffs out cloaked enemies, they come out a faint blue, that still stands out in the black and white screen. So camping is near impossible when you have players on field that now what there doing.

I think there are too many people camping in the game.
Sure, I use cloak too, but only to get out of the hot battlezone.
But if you get the the perk with the footsteps in the full version, it will be way more balanced.

PC Beta info.

From what ive played so far, due to the Suits abilities campers can be removed easily, due to the game also being only a 6v6 Max server limit it makes people move together due to how quickly health is lowered.. I think we will see a mixture upon the games release, but team play does happen on many servers like in the First game and Wars.

You know what would be awesome? Juggernaut, have one player always in armor mode but can run really fast, have unlimited ammo, unlimited energy, and make him against the whole other 11 players

there are plenty of campers in this game tho, i sometimes camp too but thats only to recharge my energy bar or secure the crash site... i find it really easy to take out campers who use cloak by using cloak detector my self.

Small correction to the topic - the game is already overrun by cod camping noobs just played(about 45 minutes ago) crash site on pier17 enemy team only camped for kills no securing the crashsite(easy win).

There is so many ways to take down campers, if you think you've encountered one.

For instance, make great use of the hologram decoy attachment. That is probably, if not, the most effective way to draw out campers. It's also effective to draw out normal players, so it is generally a great attachment to use. I've used it and it works greatly on the opposing team.

Campers won't gain much by sitting in one area, cause there's like 3 ways to flank them.

Yes we all see camping, even if a team sits and firebases the entire game... but you die easy in this game, like the next gen titles in the Battlefield Series therefore they are removed easily, juts put a bit of thought into it before you just run in durr durr like a spaz...

Camping Isn't that easy in C2.
You can just turn on your wallhack (read: nano vision) and see any campers anywhere in the map.
Also the killcam helps alot - You kill one guy, he'll be coming for you when he respawns.

Nanovision erases camping by itself. You see every cloaked guy from 100 metres and glows blue.So campers lose every time. This is bad though cause when your energy is depleted you must camp for 3-4 sec in order to be regenerated and till then u are dead cause someone already show u and killed you.So the best solution is never let your energy reach "0".

It won't work since to get killstreaks, you have to go out and collect the dog tags off of fallen enemies so people can't just camp to get killstreaks. There will be attempts at camping but invisibility will put an end to that quickly

Stand still and you'll be shot, that's my experience so far. Whether it's from a sniper who's been tracking you, someone using nanovision or someone with an Mk60 across the other side of the map spraying till he's blue in the face; you will catch a bullet if you stand still :)

You have time to stand still? If I have to slow down, I'm in armor or stealth. Crysis 2 is all about violence of action. Speed and calculated aggression win the MP so far. I'm loving it. Now I know I'm about to get flamed by a million people who have cancelled their preorder and want nothing else to do with Crytek, but in Wars, you could camp like a mofo.

I tryed to come around a corner once with armor on hoping to beat anyone I say only to have my skull blown off by runner who knew I was there. Yup camping is dead in this game. You can camp the top off skyline but you have to have really good team work or guy with a shotgun is going flank everyone and kill them all. Crytech, UK I have to say good job on the anti camping multiplayer.

In wars you could camp but eventually you lose cause u didnt contribute to the capture of the factories or other points.Aslo crysis war map were huge and when u saw a tank coming what would u do ?Run till you realize that you are one hit from the tank?Seriously some guys dont know how to play a game and what is the difference between right camping in order to blow up a tank and camp for 1 million years in a spot and dont do nothing .
crysis 2 maps are too small to be able to camp and get a kill and as i said nanovision erases all camping.I can see you by a mile that u are invi and you are camping .
