Will Fallout 4 have traits?

Post » Thu Nov 26, 2015 4:58 pm

I really hope fallout 4 has traits! It really helps you build unique characters. Will traits be in Fallout 4 what do you guys think? In New Vegas I liked Small Frame +1 Agility -25% limb damage with Trigger Discipline Guns and energy weapons 20% more accurate 20% less quick AP cost 20% higher. Anyways I hope traits are in Fallout 4.

as long as they have the same kind of awesome combo of traits I use pretty much default in NV (Good Natured+Skilled) I′m happy.

Hopefully it does have them, and has them well designed. Would be a real shame if they got once again fashionably streamlined out after just being reintroduced.

I hope so, it would be more realistic and challenging and i hope they make it better.

Like why does my character with skill 20 melee know how to use the power fist etc... correctly without even having problems with it like accidentaly dropping it or something like that ?

I'd like to see them, as I think most people would, though I'm not sure I see it happening. The main idea behind Skyrim's system was that you plan your character as you play, rather than frontloading all the planning at the beginning, and traits don't align with that idea.

I'm not against the idea that you plan as you play, in actuality I think it's a better way to build the character system, But with that said, at least some thought should go into a character at the beginning rather than none at all.

Hopefully. They are easy to implement and are optional. Kind of no excuse if they're not in.

After New Vegas, the gameplay in F3 feels sort of drab to me. There's all the challenges, the weapon selection, the enhanced crafting options (please let there be a reloading bench!) and so on. But Traits are my favorite. They let you start customizing from the beginning.

I sincerely hope F4 follows the example of Fallout, F2 and FNV and includes traits.

Traits is mandatory in a Fallout game.

What BGS thinking to not put this in F3, I really like to know.

They likely cut them for the same reason they cut birthsigns in TES games, choosing a critical part of how your character plays, before you even play the game, is stupid.

Its akin to game pre-orders like Dishonred's that ask you but buy from X to get the "assault" pack, or from Y to get the "stealh" pack, or from Z to get the "whatever" pack. How do you know which one you are going to like more when you haven;t even played the game.

There were 1 or 2 cut perks from Fo3 that WERE traits from past games, showing they originally planed to just move them into perks, since that is essentially what they are, just more perks.

Must increase sales, cut everything that separates it from COD!

The fact that they were a good addition in NV shows it was simply a bad idea. Streamlining isn't always "omg better".

Sideway roller-blades and flying animals have always been traits of BGS games.

I liked the inclusion of traits in NV. It seems strange to me that Beth left them out of F3 when they were in previous games.

Wrong traits are part of who you are! They help define who you are and what you have done befor.

Yeah traits were just fine when back into NV. Some people will defend the worst changes no matter what.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but can't you just not pick one? I believe that's how it was in NV.
