I think they said there would be an option for it although I'm not certain.
I just find it annoying that almost every head shot I get results in the head exploding or shooting a guy in the leg makes it fall off.

Fallout 3's Gore is weaksauce. New Vegas will likely pack the same gore, since Fallout games aren't played for the gore and violence.

That honor belongs to Duke Nukem.

There may be a mod on PC for not severing limbs, but I doubt it.

Same here - I thought it was a perk that was more annoying than cool. I don't have anything against gore, but it got really tedious hunting around for a body part to click on in order to loot it. ESPECIALLY if several bad guys died right next to each other, then I had to keep mousing over each individual body part to make sure I looted each individual bad guy I exploded.

In this case just explode bomb on them again. they will separate as the force will cause the corpses to collide and react. newton.

I like the thought of toggle option in the menu... But I hope it doesn't shut off blood completely. Besides, I would like to take a guy's head off with the Anti-Materiel rifle, but not with a 9mm pistol.

I'm thinking that if you use energy weapons, you end up with ash or goo instead of an animated bloody mess. I haven't played in a while but I think that's accurate. You might try that. It would tone it down.

Maybe they'll have Hitman style death animations, with Raiders clutching at their spilled entrails, begging for a mercy shot to the head. Or guys stumbling around in shock, armless, after a close encounter with one of the Courier's mines.

More gore the better. Bloody Mess in FO3 was not that bloody. I hope that's fixed. In the originals people can get their chest blown out and blood everywhere.

Well im not too bothered with the gore but if theres an option too have it then I dont mind

I remember playing the british fallout 3 on xbox and barely did any limb blow off (unless you repeatedly shot it in the same limb with a shotgun)

When I played fallout 3 on PC on steam, every kill I got, a random limb would just blow up even though I didnt even shoot it. (was using Bloody mess)

But sure, options to change gore in the game (blood, limbs, organs, bones)

a bit like gta iv but theres no way there are going to be animations that good :cryvaultboy: :banghead: :meh: GTA IV :run: :dmc:

I expect the same gore, but I hope they have death animations to ragdoll for Fallout 4 instead of limb chopping and body 'splosions.
Would be nice with some new things though, like splitting someone in half.
