That is above the minimum specs, so it should be fine. I have it on Windows 7, and it runs ok. The only problem I ever had was fixed below.

Some people with multi-core processors experience random lockups while playing. If you do, go the your Fallout.ini file and add this line: iNumHWThreads=2 to the General section. That should fix it. It did for me.

Be sure get the GOTY edition. Although I doubt there are any other versions out. That way it will be fully patched and have all the DLCs. Now that New Vegas is out, it will probably be pretty cheap too.

Post a dxdiag.
XP: Go to Start->run, type “dxdiag” and hit enter. Click the Save All Information button near the bottom right. This will save a Dxdiag.txt in C:\ by default. Then open the dxdiag.txt and copy/paste the information into your post.

VISTA/Windows 7: Go to Start->Search, type “dxdiag” and hit enter, click the Save All Information button near the bottom right. This will save a Dxdiag.txt in C:\ by default. Then open the dxdiag.txt and copy/paste the information into your post.

Or post what video chipset/card you have in there.

To the OP, please follow Starforce's instructions in posting the dxdiag so we can see more of your PC specs. I hope you didn't buy the game just yet.

How do you figure that without knowing the video card/chip? You just got the OP to potentially waste his/her money on game that may not run on his machine.

Not necessarily, there's no mention of what kind of video card is being used. The game needs more than just a decent CPU to run.

Welp, now there is:

intel? GMA 3100

As was the case with Fallout NV, that chip won't run this game either. I certainly hope you didn't buy the game.
