Will females be objectively better? [perk spoilers]

Post » Wed Dec 02, 2015 6:04 pm

Since Bethesda, in their infinite wisdom and foresightedness, have evidently chosen NOT to include same-six alternatives for perks like Black Widow/Lady Killer and since a rank 3 investment in either of those grants a 15% damage increase and since male enemies have traditionally been more common, will being a female be an objectively better choice in terms of combat lethality?

You apparently get the choice of which one you want this time from what ive heard.. not sure if its true but ive heard when you select the perk you can select male or female as your target so it really doesnt matter if you want to be gay/lisbian and get same six perk instead.

Your assuming the perks have gender restrictions they don't.

Most of the weapon perks, when fully upgraded, provide an extra 100% damage for that weapon type. I guess female characters might be slightly more effective if they max out Black Widow, but it's not going to be particularly noticeable.

That will totally depend on the ratio of male/female human enemies and npc's. I'm thinking that this time around they probably put a more equal amount of sixes in the game than they did in F3 and especially NV. (since the legion was all male that gave female characters a distinct advantage.) Skyrim enemies and npc's seemed pretty well distributed.

Bethesda themselves said you can choose either perk regardless of gender.

But what if there's more female enemies this time around?

What if there's a 50/50 split?

If that's so, then instead of people complaining about it being homophobic, it instead becomes bi-erasure. <_< (Which would still be kinda weird what with starting married.)

...honestly imo they really should've kept the option for neither/either/both like NV, but nooo, Obsidian did that, and Beth is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT they cannot do ANYTHING that they did.

Where? I'm aware they said you can romance companions regardless of gender but haven't heard anything about the perk.
