Will we get to see baby dragons?

Chainy showed me this CG movie by Blender Foundation called "Sintel".

The baby dragon, named Scales, is sooooo cute! But the end is sooo sad. It made me cry. But back to the topic subject, would you like to be able to adopt or at least see a dragonling in TESV? I was thinking it would be amazing to stumble upon an adandoned dragon nest and discover one surviving egg. Instead of eating it, you take it to see if it will hatch. Either that, or you are wandering through the land and come across a lost dragonling that was abandoned by its parents (probably Dovahkiin killed its parents). And you can either kill it or take care of it. If the lost little dragonlig had emotional facial expressions like Scales in the "Sintel" movie, that'd surely put a soft spot in almost everyone's heart. I mean, what kind of cold, heartless Player could kill an adorable dragonling like that?
Thoughts? Opinions?

I would like to see various ages with the dragons including small ones. Adopt one well I would like to see pets and say if there are baby dragons and you happen to kill of the mother and come to find out she had a couple little ones. Adopt a dragon feed it a couple of bosmers and watch it grow. But I'll take what I can get.

You know I'm realizing I have a real resentment for Bosmers I think it was that smug crazy one you meet right off the boat in Morrowind.

Baby Dragons would be the sissiest things.
The only baby dragons I would want to see are the ones that I rip the top of their shell off rip the embryo out and rip it's head off.
Seriously.

Do I hope baby dragons are in? Yes. Do I want to adopt one? No. I want to kill dragons, as they are my foes.

It would be like killing a childs parrents and then taking the kid in. Dragons are smart if not smarter than men or mer. How do you think Little Puff is gonna feel once he learns you killed his parrents so you could have a pet? How do you think the townsfoke are gonna feel when they see the child of the things that just killed off half the town?

Even if you just happen upon a stray, the little guy probably isn't going to warm up to the one thing that posses a threat to his people. Dragons want their freedom. They're sick and tired of being tied down to Nirn, they want out. They for the most part want us gone so they can get their freedom. A few may be fine with looking like lizards and watching us roll around in the mud, but the larger amount will be discusted at the fact that as long as we live...while we're killing each other no less in a Civil war for power no less...they're stuck in the background...forced to watch.

Even the baby's are gonna be pissed at us.

If they had Baby Dragons, they would probably make them essential, since SOME people (Freaks.) are against killing "children" in games...
So I'd rather not have an immortal little lizard shooting fireballs at me all day.

What do you mean "tied down to Nirn"? Where else are they going to go? Jode & Jone?
And yes, you're right, the whole population would be pissed at the Dovahkiin for befriending a baby dragon. And it'd be out of place for a baby dragon to befriend the Dovahkiin. But perhaps it wouldn't know who the Dovahkiin was. Then again, if you had it for a pet and began killing other dragons right in front of it, it'd probably either fly away or attack you. Then again, TES games are about playing who you want to play, as Todd put it. I could make a logical reasoning for adopting a dragonling as a loving pet. That's the beauty of roleplaying.

Frankly, the devs wouldn't even think of having the option. And if they DID I would write then a hate filled email. Then I would find a dive rock skyrim equivalent, have a epic execution, and post it on the internet.

Hi TES!

And guys, anything relating to murdering and killing Dragon children is against the rules! The forum rules strictly state that speech relating to child murder is bad. Don't talk about killing baby dragons.

Lots of reading...but its pretty interesting stuff.

Basically...Lorkhan got the other spirits, some say he tricked them while others say he just convinced them to help...point of view thing, to help make Mundas, which is Nirn plus the moons and "stars" that we see. Once the plane was made, he was split in two and separated, in some stories as punishment and in others it was his choice.

At any rate, one spirit called Magnus became discusted with how Mundas was turning out, and left leaving an especially large hole that we see as the sun. When he left, that's when many of the other spirits noticed they were losing power. Some of the spirits realized they were losing power and flead, ripping holes in the sky that we see as stars. Others, weaker, couldn't run and either by choice or through their death, once again interpretation, started to form things in the mortal plane. The Earthbones, or the laws of nature. Other even weaker spirits are thought to have became dragons, which called Akavir home.

Weaker still were the spirits who, after giving life to Nirn, found themselves extremely weak to the point where they themselves were near mortal. After a few generations, they became the elves. Other spirits became man, and well...the rest is history?

So anyway, the Dragons...possibly the spirits who were juuuust quite not strong enough to run away like the other spirits who made the stars, still want to get away. Alduin, the god of time, is gonna make that happen too. He's time, so while some think of him as a god for helping start life...other's look at the tail end of what's coming because of him, because with all things like time...if there's a beginning there is gonna be an end. Since Aldiun started time, he's gonna end it too. With the end of Nirn, the spirits who got caught here can leave and go back to where ever they came from...which I think is called The Gray.

Now...that's how far my interpretation of Lore gets. Anyone can step in and correct me...but I'm pretty sure I got it straight.

Thank you W&V. I will protect my baby dragonling all I can. :) Just because most of the grown ups are attacking doesn't mean that all the baby ones are evil and must be killed.
And if it's not in the game, someone somewhere will make a mod for it. ;)

Thank you, ResistanceKnight. The Monomyth is a little over my head as far as reading goes. Not that I'm stupid but it's not as simple a book as A Game at Dinner or Brief History of the Empire. I'll give it a shot and reread it again.

Ahhhh, okay. I knew about the Earthbones and that they were the weaker spirits who were unable to flee. But I didn't know that the even weaker ones had metamorphicized into dragons. With that theory in mind, could you say that man & mer are just profusely extremely weakened forms of the magne 'ge, or the spirits of uhm...... I guess it would be the interplay of Anu & Padomay right? Bah, where's Hellmouth and Proweler when you need them!
Damn, that's deep, The Grey Maybe right? You should come post over in the lore forum. That's one of my favorite forums. :D

No, because your character is meant to kill dragons. Makes no sense to nurture one that might get all ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL later on by Alduin (he's a god, he can do that kind of stuff).

Do you seriously want Beth to put adoptable baby dragons in Skyrim? This is an M rated RPG, not a cartoon for kids.

yes, but perhaps your character can be ostracized by the Nords. This would probably be better as a mod though. As there is a mod for TESIII that allows you to join the Sixth House and be on Dagoth Ur's side. Maybe the Player can sympathize with the dragons in their yearning to leave the plane of the Mundus.

You're right. It would make it a little too kiddy like, I guess. After thinking about it, I'd rather have it as a mod.

Well, little is really known about dragons. Its only a theory that they're weaker spirits. We know some spirits became the earthbones, and others became men and mer...so it kinda makes sense that Dragons would kinda be in the middle. This could even make it so that there are no babys or grown up dragons...just dragons in general. I don't really know what to tell ya, its bloddy confusing.

The way I see it, the spirits can gain power through faith. The eight devines really are the gods of the Aldmer, given new names so the nords who were against elven deities could get along and not fight against the empire. It was a political move to prevent Skyrim and Cyrodill to start fighting between each other in the new empire. With that in mind, one could think that the eight devines were the strongest of the spirits who didn't become the Earthbones, instead only giving a part of themself in the forming of Mundas. With faith giving them power, the spirits were able to hold onto themselves and not be completely swallowed up as Mundas floats there.

Other spirits, who follow the 8 that are the most powerful, would act much like who they fallow. Such as, the spirits who follow Alduin would take the form of dragons...just because he tends to favor that avatar form. Kinda like I'll share some of my power gained from faith with you if you follow me. A lot of the spirits probably want out of Mundas, and if Alduin ends Mundas then they can go home. Obviously then they'll follow Alduin...gaining some of the power of faith in exchange along with taking the same form as him. A dragon.

Personally I think a quest where you're charged with wiping out a "nest" of baby dragons would be perfect. It'd be exactly the type of moral dilemma I want to see more of in Elder Scrolls games.

Baby dragons in Skyrim? I hope not. I'd have to strangle everyone trying to kill them. Still innocent and not evil until proven otherwise.
