If ____ will happen in the next TES game you'll _____.

If attributes and other 'old-style' RPG mechanics return in the next TES game I will not buy it.
RPGs have moved on, I don't think there's any place for old mechanics in new games.
Well what would you replace them with? I think that perks, for a single game, do an adequate job of allowing us to customize, but now the blood's in the water and we demand more. Attributes and perks combined, now that they know for sure how to work both, would be very cool.

EXACTLY !
I never played Fable before , I saw it's pretty popular and wanted to check it out , I just saw that the industrial revolution came to Albion ( or however it's called ),
And knew at that second how terrible it is.

I hope they will make a patch with spears , cause they are included in the Jam video.

I have Fable III and it's actually not that bad. It is a completely different game from TES--it's not a sandbox, for one thing, and the story is way more linear. You still have choices to make that affect the game's outcome, and overall it did a better job of being immersive in a lot of ways that Skyrim doesn't. Both games look equally pretty.

As far as the industrial revolution goes--it actually was a great and original idea imo, and they pulled it off well. The game is still 99% fantasy rpg, it's just that the capital looks more like Victorian London than Medieval London and you can use guns :)

If Babette's return will happen in the next TES game you'll know Bethesda has smarts.

If the next TES game is designed for the same audience as Skyrim, I will refuse to buy it for anything over $15 for the complete edition.

If the next TES game continues on the same course as it did in OB and SR, I won't buy it, for the same reasons I haven't bought SR.

No "game" in my game (mandatory excessive handholding, no chance of failure, meaningless or no defining character stats) = "no sale".

I haven't found those (or, well, what's the word for when you haven't found a negative?) in Skyrim yet but I'll be sure to let you know if I do.

If TESVI includes ridable senche mounts I will lobby for mounted combat.

If we can trap wildlife via nets, ropes, fishing, etc it may be my favorite in the series.

What's that ?

Meaning that I would like to see the character's return as I think it would add to the series.

for me, that's a sim game.

we're already near a rp sim, as is.

i want depth, complexity, high difficulty, maturation and choice.

Agreed. I want deeper stories, more diverse factions, more joinable factions, and, most importantly, an actual choice-and-consequence system.

If I wanted to maintain my hunger and bladder meters, I'd play The Sims.

If the next game becomes more like Morrowind, and takes place in Elsweyr, I will break into Bethesda's studios to get the game early.

I may have to join in on your scheme here :o
although i'm not one much for Thieving even as a Khajiit, I would gladly break into their Studio's to hug them if it was announced that TES VI took place in Elsweyr :D

So for my part : If the next Elder Scrolls game takes place in Elsweyr, Then I will have a beach party in celebration.

If Landfall will happen in the next TES game I'll bake Bethesda a scarab-shaped cake.

Landfall already occured in Morrowind. In the very beginning of the game actually. And countless times in Daggerfall. */Snicker

If the next TES includes toggling on/off of every marker on the HUD for all platforms then I'll eat a hat. It would be a so good move in the right direction of not forcing hand-holdofing features to everyone.

But you CAN turn off the HUD!

Perhaps a rephrase: toggling on/off every marker on the HUD and being able to legitimately play that way. A lot of the quests in Skyrim required the HUD marker arrows to tell you where to go, and turning off the HUD made it impossible to continue those quests.

My comment was an opinion, guys! I much prefer perks and the Skyrim system in general to attributes and other such 'traditional' mechanics ;)

I would much prefer we go back to the traditional RPG system of stats. Re-expand the Magic System, re-expand the skills, re-expand everything. I'll buy the next TES game no matter what, but if it continues down this road--it'll likely be like Skyrim. I have a copy of it sitting and gathering dust (and I doubt I'll ever do another playthrough). I also have a copy of Morrowind that's far older and rarely goes a year without me doing a playthrough again (like with Fallout I and II).

Why do I play these games? They're RPGs...not Action games...

If in the next ES the same prophesied hero routine is played, my interest in the seires will decline even more rapidly.
