I was wonder will we have a large assortment of traps and ways to setup them up? I'm a huge fan of setting up boobytraps!

Traps as in the various contraptions that were littered throughout the wasteland and subways in Fallout 3? More than likely no. I certainly wouldn't mind setting up a baby carriage that is actually a bomb, but I don't believe Radiant AI will be advanced enough to properly address those scenarios.
If push comes to shove, you can always get creative with landmine placement.
I'd take the bo......nevermind. I wouldn't know why not I mean we can burn them alive graham style.
Yes, this is indeed a "how should we know" topic.
The topic is will we have a large assortment of traps.....& I answered, I don't know why not. can you please point out what I said wrong if you would be so kind?
No no, you got me wrong. I'm agreeing with you. These topics are what I call "How should we know" topics. You know, when people ask about things that zero knowledge has been released...mostly because the game isn't out.
oooooohhhhhh ok, lol i didn't get that, now i do.
I asked because I know the producers/creators come to this site. I watched a few Youtube video in which it proved it.
They come here, but they don't info dump on us. They kind of art allowed to.
From what we've seen there is a tripwire flame trap, turrets both laser and regular, and a mortar... These are just for the settlement system. We could maybe assume, that the frag mine is returning, possibly the plasma mine.... maybe even be craftable. Otherwise, everything else is up in the air. We know little of weapons conventional or otherwise, beyond what we've been shown.
I mean, we'll probably at least get a variety of mines to place. Hopefully we'll even be able to craft our own... I'd kill for the chance to craft a bunch of Spring Razors.
Actually. You know how NPCs would react when you dropped items in Skyrim? Like they'd complain that you're littering, or ask you if they could have it, or straight up fight other NPCs for it? It doesn't seem like a stretch that Bethesda could use something similar to that for traps; you drop off a bomb that looks like a piece of loot, a raider thinks "Hell yeah!" and tries to pick it up... and blammo. That seems right up Radiant AI's alley.
That reminds me of sneaking through the cottonwood cove with a stealth boy and placing grenades in all of the legions inventories. I love that kind of stuff.
I sincerely hope so, F3 was severely lacking any kind of booby trap device that you could craft. The only 2 things you could do was reset a bear trap that you couldn't move or lay a mine. A bit lame really.
Yes that's true but just glorified land mines nonetheless. I was always disappointed that you couldn't set up your own shotgun traps like the ones you can find & deactivate. I like my character to be creative & cunning.
The Bottlecap Mines are my absolute favorites. I loved setting them and tricking opponents into coming after me and tripping them. I just wish they didn't use your money (caps) as part of the crafting recipe.
It would have been awesome to be able to craft counterfeit bottlecaps and use those instead of the caps that you use for money.
