Will Japanese Legendary edition work on US Xbox

Post » Sat Jun 08, 2013 12:39 pm

My Xbox 360 and Skyrim disc are from America, but I live in Japan now and wondered whether the Japanese version of Skyrim Legendary edition (available June 27 on Amazon) will function properly? I don't mind if the voices are in Japanese, so long as I can get English subtitles, but that may only be a modification available on the PC version.

Thanks for any insight you can offer

If it's being released in Japan, I can think of two things occuring:

1. The lazy route. Japanese subtitles and in-game text.

2. The expensive route: Japanese voice actors AND in-game text.

Either way, I don't see there being an option to change the subtiltes from Japanese to English. And this is ignoring the possiblility of it being hardcoded to run only on 360s intended to be released in Japan. In that case, you just bought yourself a nice coaster. I'm not sure if that sort of thing happens, but I wouldn't be surprized if it did.

If I were you, I'd get a engilsh/US release copy shipped to your location. A bit more expensive, but you're 100% guarnteed to have a workable copy. Provided gamesas's QA didn't screw up on it.
