Will my laptop be able to handle Diablo 2?

Post » Sun Jul 25, 2010 3:34 am

I don't know how to read all of the fancy spec things, but I have both the laptop specs and diablo 2 system requirements here. Keep in mind I have the stock video card in my laptop.

You should be able to run it just fine, my old Compaq Presario from like 10 years ago was able to run it perfectly fine (with integrated Intel graphics).

Diablo 2 was released 11 years ago. I think I can safely say that you can play Diablo 2 on any computer purchased in the last 8 years.

Also I love cereal

Thanks guys, I just wanted to be sure that my laptop could handle it as I've never played a game on a laptop before. I didn't want to go out and spend the $40 for nothing.

and cereal is a pretty great thing. unfortunately I've been sticking to more 'advlt' cereal's recently like the Kashi ones.

Wait why is it $40? Or how, rather, if the game was released 11 years ago.

The online community is still going strong, and that seems reason enough for Blizzard to still charge $40 for the Battlechest.

Not saying I agree with it.

Diablo II is still sold in the Battle chest (Diablo, Diablo II, Lord of Destruction, strategy guide). Blizzard still likes to charge forty dollars for the pack. Thing is, the games are so awesome and fun, that people will pay it, even for decade old games.

I've never played Diablo, but I like Magicka.

How does it compare?

It doesn't. Diablo is a hack'n slash RPG. Magicka is a wizard suicide simulator. Two totally unrelated genres.

Except for the point of view, it does not.

Unless you only play magicka using a melee weapon. In that case you might be able to compare it to a skill-less barbarian sort of gameplay in Diablo...

It's true. :D

Yeah Diablo is nothing like Magicka. Diablo has a big focus on leveling up and finding new items, whereas Magicka barely has any items, no leveling, and the game is about blowing stuff up (especially yourself and friends) with unlimited amounts of magic.
