Will a modder please help me ...

Post » Sat Jul 10, 2010 7:03 am

I was adding a bunch of new mods tonight and, like an idiot, didn't make a backup before trying the last set.

I tried one that was to enhance the colors by raising the saturation level - and it is terrible. Now, the colors won't go back to normal and everything looks hideous.

The mod is: Awesome Color Enhancer.

I was hoping someone could make a mod plug-in that would reset the game to default for me???

Please ? If not, I'm going to have to re-install the game, the DLCs and then all my mods b/c I have no idea how to change it back :(

Thx to anyone willing to help.

I just checked out the mod in question and its just an esp file. If you deactivate the esp all should be back to normal?

or have you made changes to the colours yourself and saved them to one of your other mods ? In which case the easiest thing to do would be to redownload that mod and reinstall the esp.

I used FOMM to delete the mod/esp but the color saturation remains :(

Was hoping someone who understands modding could open up the mod and see what it changes and then change it back.

I have never added anything to change the colors before.

The only other thing I have is Fellout which takes away the green tint - but prior to this other mod - things didn't look cartoonish with Fellout installed.... just not green tinted.

If you deleted the esp then it should go back to normal. The mod in question doesn not add new textures etc.

- Id check to make sure the esp is really deleted. Eg go into fallout/ data and make sure its gone.

- double check in FOMM that you dont have two copies of the mod for some reason and just deleted one

- check your monitor settings. Did you adjust your monitor colour or brightness when you installed the mod ?

- Also.. incase for some reason the colour changes are being saved to your save file. Go back to a previous save before you installed the mod

- EDIT one last thing to check. You mentioned you downloaded a bunch of mods at the same time. Was there any other mods that changed the weather/ environment ? untick all those from FOMM and load a save from before install.

Re-download the mod in question, and look at the files that come with it. Don't install the mod, just put the files on your desktop or something. Then go into your Data folder and delete those files. To prevent this from happening again in the future, store a copy of the mod somewhere on your computer so if you ever have to uninstall it, you can just look there to see which files you have to delete.
