I have done everything in the game except the thieves guild. Cause when I first walked into Riften there was this dude named butch or something that said that i better watch my [censored] in this town. being that I am the Dovahkiin, and level 30 something I was like, I'm not afraid of you. and he answers: That's the wrong answer. Sadly I could not back up that fact cause he was yet again another one of those stupid Unkillable NPCs. Him and that other [censored] pedaling the snake oil who has the nerve to tell me that none of my wealth was earned by me. and i couldn't put a sword through that guys mouth either. and then there is that sapphire woman. first thing you see her doing is picking on a poor stable hand who had a run of bad luck. and then i ran into this woman who was influential to the thieves guild or something. she said mess with me and ill sick the dark brotherhood on you.

as soon as the CK comes out I am making every single one of those people unnecessary, and

you don't need help from the thiefs guild to find the old blade guy

Technically no. but the game directs you to that potion guy...and he will only help you if you do his quest. or if your persuade is really damn good i think. And since it wasn't at the time, I had to find the old man by myself. cause i flat out refused to help that jerk.

Once you join and they let you in their little den, you can kill most of them. It's kind of fun.

for that reason alone, I think I might actually.

Nightingale Bow, Nightingale Blade, Nightingale Armor. Nuff said.

Shame, you're missing the best questline of the game. And the coolest looking armor.

Even the npc's that are usually all friendly and helpfull talk smack about me and look at me from across their noses.

Thieves guild is the only real good story in the game.
They have more depth and relevance than the others.

a major benefit to doing the thieves guild is it opens up a lot of fences who have 4000 gold and you can sell a lot of loot to.

Yeah this armor by far is the coolest looking fo sure only wish I could put my own enchants on it.

I hate the thief's guild too, since they basicaly blackmail some nice people around and after that they won't stop hating me e.e

Good thing i can at least save the Altmer from going into jail if i fail to plant the ring on him... poor guy dosn't deserve to get locked.

The Thieves' Guild is full of fun quest and awesome characters, plus great armor. You're really missing out.

Its not a spoiler, you should have known you would meet her from the moment you hear her name, what where you expecting?

None of these are upgradable, and they're scaled to your level. The quest line does give an opportunity to get the best 1h sword in the game, though its also scaled to your level.

I rather enjoyed the Thieves Guild...Especially because of the Nightingale Armour, the Bow, and sword.
I could see why you might not like it, but I'd highly recommend it, the only tedious aspects are when you get closer to the end, and have to do all of these painfully boring and extraneous missions for two of the guild members.
