Will people learn to sweep out their homes for F4?

Post » Wed Jun 05, 2013 3:07 pm

Something that really bugged me is the way that nobody sweeps out their rooms in F3 & F:NV

They can repair guns, make ammo, hack computers, work with robotics and even understand microfusion technology but can they make a broom to sweap out year of debris from their bedroom??

Oh no. They just live in it

Indeed. Frankly I don't see why it's my job with the disable command!

The facct that they have no problem sleeping on a nasty 200yr old, stained, crummy mattress, while living in their own filth always bugged me.

Like you guys cant clean up a little bit? Seriously, there's a skeleton lying on your floor.... ya gonna do something with it?

I think that it should more or less stay that way for poorer homes and communities, more or less just for the look, but for middle class to rich places they should definitely clean up.

And I would also like it if they cleaned up dead bodies. In F3 when I killed Lucas Simms, the preacher from the Children of Atom, and a few others before leaving and coming back when they stopped being openly hostile the bodies just stayed there for the rest of the game.

Ha ha. True. That's why you drag bodies under all the support beams in Megaton. For RPs sake, and ya know, because all 2 kids in Megaton would be like..

Yeah, that's really the only way you can avoid breaking character if you're RPing.

If Fallout 4 is set on the East Coast i say let it be messy. Many people are still struggling on the Eastern coast and may not have lived in one place for long enough to call it home. In places like Rivet City, i would say individual rooms, depending on the individual, should be more or less clean and livable but lower level stairwells and such should remain messy. I wouldnt go down their to clean up if it wasnt my job. Im sure paint isnt easy to find either. The Left Coast is probably a bit more civilized and more places should be spruced up and appealing. The middle of the country would depend on the level of civilization the story supplied us with.

Well i didnt put that skeleton there why would i clean it up? You can find neckbeards sleeping on stained mattresses in their own filth now, ever see Hoarders? Why would this change post apocalypse?

And they didn't even think of the idea of giving the Mr. Handy a built-in broom or duster!

the least that could be done is to prop it up somewhere in a hilarious pose.

Still waiting on that climbing animation on ladders in Bethesda games. But I'm sure this is on the list of things to add too.
