Will it be possible to give companions items/septims?

Post » Sun Oct 02, 2011 9:52 am

Hey everybody, I'm a first time poster but a long time lurker on these forums. I was just wondering, will it be possible to give companions weapons/clothes/armor or even septims?

Unless the AI somehow learns to manage the gold you give them, I don't see the point in it.

Pretty sure I've seen previews in which they gave weapons to companions. No idea about Septims though.

Yes. Some previewers gave a prisoner his weapons to fight the rebel scum.

So I probably shouldn't mention my affection for the rebels right now?

You just changed your avatar?
It's more that I want to flood the rebels with arms so I have more people to slaughter.

I would love to be put undercover and then remove the group like in DB quest.

Creepers be creepin. Lurkers be lurkin.

Papers be ... quoi.

I like the idea of equipping partners in Skyrim. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Tribunal:Calvus_Horatius in TES3 who would hold all your stuff for you; I had my own favorite weapons, so I gave him all potions and god-artifacts I didn't bother to use. I'm pretty sure I created a monster that way :)

You can give your companion (->) weapons, armor, cosmetics (<- all 3 confirmed) and (->) pretty much anything you have in your inventory (<-not confirmed, but very likely. Fallout 3-ish) I think.

It was mentioned that gold no longer appears in its usual place at the bottom corner, and possibly just as an amount of it like all other objects in the inventory. If this is totally true, it should be possible for you to do so.

Does anyone else remember them mentioning we can have our companions go into town to buy us supplies(potions, weapons, armor etc)? Or am I making that up?

You can make your side spouse a companion then send them into town to get supplies.

I hope we can get them to equip the items we want them to equip, instead of just the items with the highest rating, you know have them change to casual attire when your in your home and in the town, then having them change to battle attire when you are well fighting :P
