We all know that PS3 games will not natively play in PS4.. But that they will eventually be available as a streaming service on the Gaikai cloud on PS4. My question is, when that happens, do you think that PS4's unheard-of-for-a-console 8GB of GDDR5 RAM will solve the memory allocation issues that the PS3 has with this game? Or does/will the Skyrim application itself only take advantage of the max that is/was available with PS3?

Christ, it's not that early in the morning, guys. Did you even read my post? The first thing I say is that PS3 games are not natively backward compatible with PS4. As in you can't use the disc. But Sony President Yoshida says that they will eventually have a good chunk of their back catalog available on the streaming service (Gaikai) from their cloud.. So, if it's offered on that cloud service, yes it will be playable. My question was about the memory.

If it's being streamed from a remote server, chances are that will just be a PS3. They're not going to re-write the game for the PS4, so it'll still be constrained by the PS3's hardware, despite you technically playing it with 8GB of RAM.

Yah, that is what I was afraid of, too. I was hoping the game was coded to just take advantage of the max available memory..but if it is only coded to use the 256mb that PS3 has, that's unfortunate.
