So will we return to the realm of oblivion?

You didn't go to the Hunting Grounds in Bloodmoon. The whole thing about the Bloodmoon Prophecy was that Hircine would hold his Great Hunt on Nirn (it was inside the glacier in northern Solstheim), which he's allowed to do every 1000 years or so.

Yeah, I couldn't recall exactly. Guess I should have researched that better.

The planes of Oblivion are the Daedric realms. Dagon's was the Deadlands, Sheogorath's was the Shivering Isles. So there are plenty of other planes we could go to. It doesn't mean Dagon is making a triumphant return. But going to a daedric relm is rare, and if BGS ruins that aspect of it i would be disappointed. Few have ever went there and if they make it a habit it will seem like an everyday thing.

No I don't want to see any other realm. I just want to see Skyrim. That way more focus can be put towards packing Skyrim full of interesting details(instead of the rather emptiness that was Cyrodiil) I'd like to see more focus on creating quality ruins and caves and filling large unused land than on another realm.

However, a new realm of Oblivion is always good content for a DLC.

Going by the trailer, if we only delayed the daedra invasion.. will we have to return to the fiery hells of oblivion once again?

I would not mind at all... it would make a great counter to the snowy peaks of skyrim.

but rather than a series of cut/paste 'gates'.. have oblivion as a definate seperate landmass which will always be the same, and have its own world map thusly.

In the trailer, is the voice referring to the Dragons or Oblivion when he says, "Their defeat was merely a delay"?

why call him dragonborn, and feature a mural with dragons on it if we are simply going back into oblivion gates?

I hope not, unless it's just part of a sidequest or one small part of the main quest. I wouldn't want to see Dagon's realm again though, perhaps something different. The Shivering Isles weren't that bad, IMO, compared to Dagon's realm, which I really got tired of very quickly.

"their defeat was merely a delay, for a time after oblivion opened"

From that i get the impression whatever "they" are, they were defeated long before the oblivion crisis, which would suggest it isnt another threat from oblivion.

When it speaks of "They," it's speaking of dragons.

It would have to be plural, realms, or planes. I think we've seen enough of the Deadlands of Mehrunes Dagon. And they should be kind of dead-er than usual, after all that portal business.

The Madhouse was nice, too. Also had the best introduction ever. The third we've seen yet was Boethiah's.
But there are at least 16 more realms to see. So it's likely we'll see some, be it in TESV or another game.

Please no.

when I first time heard that oblivion would let us explore the daedra realm, i was excited of as a puppy. Sadly they blew it. Oblivion realm was the most generic and boring set of dungeons i've ever seen. It just repeated itself.. Furthermore they failed to create a proper atmosphere. When you think of the realm of deadre, you think something twisted and terrifying. Oblivion gates were nothing like that.
