Will six and love be returning to the wasteland?

Add. Definitely add. Just fade to black and romance subplots. No need for any elaborate six games (like the GTA: Hot Coffee mod), just something to indicate that it happened, for the sake of immersion.

i think they should add it, it would be a USP (unique selling point) for them at this time, and so may increase their sales.

:P What was the point of putting USP if you're just gonna say (Unique selling point) right after it?

It works best with good grammar. To truely give an intelligent, professional vibe, you need to use big words with good grammar. Example:

"sixual interactions should be included in this game. From a marketing standpoint, it is a USP (unique selling point) and that may help them increase sales and revenue."

Sorry, had to be smug :P.

Until conservative prudes stop picking on video games, and Walmart realises that carrying the unrated version of Saw 18 (or whatever it's up to) is the same as an AO game, we will never see this kind of content return.

A quick browse of all AO rated games will expose you to some of the worst games out there, mostly because developers are handcuffed by ignorant stockholders who insist on maximizing sales in lieu of artistic endeavor. If your game can't go on the shelf of Walmart and K-Mart, no one will offer financial backing.

Of course the movie industry found a way around this by using the method I have already alluded to: the UNRATED version. These same Christian family values megastores will carry any unrated movie... maybe game developers can figure out how to release UNRATED DIRECTORS CUT versions of their games.

That's not a bad idea. Although that would mean they'd have to make two copies of the same game no? The "Rated" one and the "Unrated" versions.

It's easier to do that with movies, since they can just film it all and edit out all the graphic parts for the Rated one.

I really think, that even for all the violence and blood...If you had left out Nova, the game could've gotten a T rating....THAT'S NOT A GOOD THING!!!!!

Fallout needs it's old humor back....The dark, macabre, cynical fallout of yesteryear....

Love and six in the wasteland are a must...
As for the whole family builder thing, Imma say...no...
Even if you could turn them over to slavers....But a ROMANCE subplot would sell well, pull in publicity, and give gamers what they want....

I really must say though, DO NOT do a "scene" unless you want fox, cnn, nbc and that crazy senator all over you for whatever they use to make you look bad....

ME be damned, that scene in 1 was the stupidest Idea for such a publisized game....

i don't really care to see six scenes in video games, but the amount of six in f1&2 was done in an appropriate maner.

It's there in Fallout 3, it's simply a bit subdued a bit. Such as a moment you offer someone to 'plow two bean fields' if you have the Black Widow perk and Nova at Moriarty's who'll lend you a room with a wink and a nudge.

Not a straight up pormographic scene, but it encourges a a few laughs.

If New Vegas has too much sixual content, Fox News is gonna have a story run on it for a whole week exclaiming video games are teaching our kids to have six with prosttutes.
So I'm going to say maybe a few more sixual references than Fallout3, but not too over the top.

fox new can't do that because it an 18 and most 18 know how to have six so it the parents fault if they buy the game for a 7 year old because passed that age of 11 you know about six

I'm really sorry if this was brought up before, but I didn't feel the urge to read through 4 pages (I stopped on 3) to find out if this was pointed out:

In the Nuka-Cola Challenge quest/place, (was it Girdershade?), there are numerous sixual references, the guy blatantly wants to have six with the girl (I believe he uses the term horizontal bop), and if you have the black widow perk you can tell him if he gets the Quantums, you'll consent to a threesome.

However, I wholly agree that I would love to see more references to six. I mean, they had a prosttute (Nova), but I was very disappointed when buying her consisted of us both lying down in the same bed, and then waking up with no "that was fun" type of dialogue to suggest anything took place.

Yeah I don't see the point in having out and out six (if you want that kinda thing the internet can, I'm sure, satisfy you) but allusions to it, especially since fallout does allusions so well, would be fantastic, maybe after having slept with nova a new speech thing could be unlocked, maybe if you hired her then didn't sleep in the bed another one etc. Just silly little things like that, you don't need to show them doing it but a reference would be fantastic.

Ive not played fallout 1 or 2 (being a playstation owner) so i can't comment on these issues compairing fallout 3 to its predessesors. but i do want agree with the comment by mattinthehatt.

"If fox news wants to run a story on how video games are teaching our kids, about six and prosttutes, they might as well also run a story on how porm movies and Playboy magazine are also teaching our kids these things... you know why.. because both of these are made for advltS!.. Fallout is not a kids game. it is designed for advlts that grew up playing video games, and are bored with super mario, and want some real advlt content and action in their gaming."

Gaming has moved on alot over the past few years, but i think some developers are still wary about putting some content into their games in fear of public backlash. After the controversy of games like Manhunt and GTA, violence in computer games has become a norm now, and people are starting to realise that advlts want to play advlt games! But six, on the other hand, is still somthing of a taboo which i still dont get. If you buy an 18 rated movie, you pretty much expect six and violence, so why shouldn't 18 rated games be the same???

There have already been games released that have sixual content in them. I can think of 2 PS2 games that have scenes of six and full frontal nudity that nobody battered an eylid for! (Leisure suit larry, Farenheit)
Im not saying that NV should go down the full frontal nutity or six scene route, but i also dont see why it couldn't either! If game companies are going to make an advlt game and slap a big red "im an advlt game" 18 certificate on the front cover, then they should give gamers an advlt experience!

I agree with you completely, cool comment

I suppose that's the question.
If you look, those UNRATED movies are not sitting next to the RATED version.... They just don't exist.
The RATED version, I suppose, is the theatrical version, and then when it is released on disc they don't bother doing a theatrical version... or it's included on the disc as a "bonus" feature.

Sooo.... when Obsidian releases demo videos without graphic content: Theatrical rated version
When the game is released on disc: Unrated Directors Cut

Or put a censored version option on a second disc in the package...
Sigh...regardless... This is unlikely to ever happen... even thinking about it makes my cockles weep.

Apparently, there's some in Fallout Tactics. Styles would know. Granted, I own Tactics, I jsut never felt inspired to fire it up.

They re-produce by kidnapping wastelanders and dipping them in vats of green go, or in Fallout 3's case, they gas them with green gas (or did they? I never saw any vats in Vault 87)

The Fallout 3 super mutants are all asixual beings, while in the other Fallouts they aren't (since I could take Marcus to a brothel, and he worried about the girl getting pregnant even though that was a joke since all super mutants are sterile... but in Fallout 3 they're not only sterile, they're asixual and apparently has no reproducive organs! That's why they constantly need other people to transform.)
