Maybe, maybe not.

lol. A lot of the responses to the poll kind of coincide, so I'm just gonna say this: Yeah, Skyrim has the potential to beat Morrowind. I'm sure Skyrim will be great, but if it is "better" than Morrowind, it'll be good in a very different way, judging by the evolution and changes of the tech and gameplay.

There are certain aspects of Morrowind that will probably never be beaten, and part of that is Morrowind's timing. When it came out, there had yet to be another really popular 3D massive RPG that really let you be who ever you wanted, do whatever you wanted, and go where ever you wanted. (at least it was the first for many) Because of this, Morrowind will always hold a special place in a lot of gamers' hearts (as lame as that may sound).

Sorry, morrowind fan boys but its combat system (How the heck can I "miss" something that isn't moving?) ruined the experience and I couldn't spend more time into it too.

Skyrim will be above all.

It will be an amazing game. But it will not be better than Morrowind.
I would like to be surprised, though. It does look a lot better than Oblivion.

Just because I like Oblivion better doesn't mean I hate Morrowind. :facepalm:

In any case, yes I think it will be better than Morrowind.

of course. it will be a trillion times better. morrowind was a good game, dont misunderstand me. but i think the nostalgia prevent people from seeing all the flaws with it. it was awesome for its time, but skyrim will be better in every way, im sure of it.
