Hmm.. I really don't think this one is going to be delayed. They've been working hard on it for a long time now with a huge team (90+) and back in August Todd Howard said there was a lot of game to show. And like you said, they've got almost another year. And 11-11-11 is too cool of a date to pass up. I think they'll be on time with this one.

Though if they do delay it, I won't mind as that means less bugs/more perfect game. I'd rather have a delay than the mess of bugs FO:NV apparently turned out to be. (I haven't played NV so please forgive me if this is inaccurate)

I'm reading everything in this thread as if it is being yelled...

Anyway, I hope it doesn't get delayed!

I would imagine not if they can help it.
On the other hand, rushing an unfinished game out with bugs is a bad idea.

I don't want to wait a whole 11 months either, but there are plenty of good games to keep me occupied until then. Perhaps I should try playing all 4 TES games in chronological order as a prelude.

If it must get delayed for some reason, I wouldn't care. I want them to make it the best it can be. I've waited a long time for an announcement and now I finally have it, so I can wait for the release as well, and enjoy all the details they'll be giving us in the months to come.

They have been probably been planning and working on it since after Oblivion was finished and they have not delayed any of their recent games so I have no reason to believe Skyrm will be.

Oblivion was delayed. It was meant to be a launch title for the Xbox 360 (November 2005) but was delayed until March 2006.

Well you have to remember OP that three years with about 90 devs is roughly 270 man years. Oblivion had 240 man years put in. IDK how many Fallout 3 had.

It is a definite maybe. It was just announced so who can tell? Bethesda might have put in a two month grace period from the moment they're totally done to its release for all we know to avoid delays and get that very cool release date. All I can say is we don't know, and if it does deal with it and don't complain. I mean if they have to have delays, then I'm glad they aren't releasing some incredibly buggy game.

I hope it doesn't but than again I am freaking about the release date I mean what if they are thinking of it as in Roman numerals?
Like than it would be instead of II.II.II = 2.2.2 which would be Feb,2nd,2012 or something, idk im over thinking and freaking out and tried so this may not make Any sense:(

I will be happy as soon as I get to preorder the game/collectors edition, think they will let us preorder by early next month or something?

I really don't see it being delayed. I don't know how long it has been in pre-production(probably since Oblivion or Fallout 3), but Todd said back in August that their new game, which we now know is TESV, has been in full development for 2+ years. And they got another 11 months, so I say that is plenty of time.

I doubt it. They announced it 11 months before a release date of 11.11.11, they wouldn't go to all that trouble only to delay it. Besides, the game is pretty far along.
