Will Skyrim be a great game?

Post » Fri Jul 23, 2010 12:21 pm

I'm asking this just to see how much negativity is really going around about Skyrim, because I'm curious to as how many trolls are out there. Thanks for voting and posting!

It's not really negativity, people just want certain things... and well with the limited info we have I can see where some people MAY be worried at some of the features in the game. but I'm 100% sure bethesda isn't [censored] and will make an incredibly fun game!

Quite possibly slated to be the best and most revolutionary Elder Scrolls game yet.

Although I am worried somewhat about whether perks can cover fully for attributes.

Don't see why not. They did an amazing job with the previous TES games as well as the FO games. If you go purely by their record of awsome sandbox games I'd give it a 95% chance of brilliance and an 100% chance of rainyday delite.

I am certain that it will be a good game, Bethesda Game Studios has yet to develop a game that I didn't like. Whether it is a great game will have to be seen.

ALSO let's not forget that Andrew Reiner classified this game as being his most anticipated game of the year.... in what probably is the most packed and awesome gaming year ever.

We won't know until it's released. Sure, they say that they're doing all this, but for all we know, it's going to be Oblivion all over again- once the shiny-ness wears off, we realize that Bethesda could have and should have done better in several aspcets.

I'm saying yes, it will be a great game because great is a relative term. Assuming you mean great compared to other games on the market near the time Skyrim is released, not great compared to past ES games, then yes. Will it win countless awards and achieve high critical praise? Maybe, no way to know yet.

The thing with people is - It's a system shock because they are doing things differently. hell when I was reading the scans, I was getting upset about their being perks and fast travel.

But now I've had a think on it and resolved that it WILL be a good game. There are plenty of features yet to come out.

I will just boycott using fast travel as best i can ^_^

Morrowind, Oblivion, and Fallout 3 were all Game of the Year.
All games had their flaws, but I(and many others) enjoyed playing all of them.
I've probably played Oblivion the most. Fallout 3 has little replay value even after mods and DLC.

Depends on whether or not horse armor is included. Won't be any good without horse armor.

Of course it will. Already seems way better than Oblivion, but whether or not it will be better than Morrowind remains to be seen.

Maybe it will, maybe it won't. So little info to tackle with, although much enough to say "So far not good, but it might get better".

Actually 14 pages is a LOT of info dude, I think your just in shell shock and you'll probably buy the game anyway.
