Must know before I preorder if there will be a collectors edition or anything similar.

They haven't said anything yet, but it is safe to assume that there will be one.

I've never seen the point in special editions.

Just upgrade your order if/when they do, those that have there orders in already will likely get first chance to upgrade. On a side note i expect them to announce it during or a little before E3, even though its only a month away. @Post above. The point of a "Collectors Edition" is that while you may see no value in one, others may and so they buy them its that simple.

Most surely there will be. Oblivion had one (which I deeply regret not getting), and I think Morrowind as well (not sure). There's no reason for Skyrim not to have.

I sure there will be a CE, but i'm not expecting an announcement until late Summer. Maybe in August around Quakecon.
