Each argonian female should have in her house a http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5Z7SGBwpZ2I/TAVvy8hpQ9I/AAAAAAAAEJg/2CD3VorVofE/s320/95840377_4ee5d9cb1e_m.jpg. If you break into her house while she's doing the egg you may consider yourself in deep [censored].

LMAO
I vote no, but I certainly won't commit suicide if bathrooms are in the game :D

That's a common misconception. The main purpose of a "sewer" throughout history has always been to keep the streets from flooding with rainwater and snowmelt. Only in the last hundred years or so have we had modern indoor plumbing that would shuttle your excrement into the sewer system. That required the setup of filtration systems so the freshwater systems we drink from don't become hopelessly polluted with E Coli.

This is not true, the Romans had house holds with indoor pluming as did many other past societys like the Chinese. Imperials are based on he Romans, however since vikings are the main inspiration for the Nords this could be different from Cyrodil.

And I would not mind seeing some outhouses or some real baths rooms in the larger buildings like castles.

In the universe we live in we try to keep pooping a private situation (although not all the time).

In the universe of Tamriel everyone poops in their pants, hence why you don't see any bathrooms. You might think this is disgusting, but in the eyes of the people of Tamriel it is completely normal behavior.

I've said this before in the other threads like this, usually just before they get locked : how do you think the Mages'Guild afford the upkeep for all those halls and that big university when only members can use their services. They provide Tamriel with sorcerous waste disposal, at last a use for higher level telekinesis spells.
Bravo!

Truthfully, whn playing a game like this, I always check the bathrooms for misc coinage, reading material, secret passages, dead bodies, etc. It's just a given that something good has to be in there once in a while! Now, it'd really be nice if they had a couple that were so putrid that you fainted.

Besides, you need someplace to hide the bodies...or to do a Dark Brotherhood quest ;)

Do the people of Nirn have such bodily functions? Or, if so, do they have them frequently enough that bathrooms would be necessary? After all, food in the past games offer things like Restore Health and other such effects. Who's to say that there's any part of it wasted? Maybe most, if not all, is converted into energy/magicka/etc.
dont be logical, obviously they invited a nvde mod for a reason, they all have butts

Q: Will Skyrim have bathrooms?
A: Does...does it matter? Outhouse or woods. Pick one. OR it goes into any available sewers and a Mage has the unpleasant duty/doody of going down there and burning it. :flamethrower: :flame: <---(current sewer tenant)
Did I miss anything? Don't answer that.

Miles and miles of tundra and forests. What more do you want. Think you can't go where the bears go?

I don't remember oblivion having any grates, either. Just manholes, which couldn't be used for the same process due to their entrances being in the wrong places and raised above the ground level.

Except the time to put them in could be spent creating some cool character or armor or weapon. For my money I prefer to find some spot in the woods and get the added time on something that actually adds something cool to the game.

As long as it's not like the bathrooms in Oblivion mods. I mean, bathtubs, sinks... come on.

A hole in the ground/floor, that leads to a sewer system, OK. Anything else, a big NO.
Still don't really care though. It's definitely not anything important to me and I've never really cared about it in Oblivion.

They might give players that don't take the time to actually read the in-game books, that opportunity.

Why can't those things exist like that? I mean, if someone can forge great ebony armor, why can't they slap together a bathtub?

Sarcasm?
Just to be on the safe side, forging an armor and a bathtub, sink or w/e is a little different. Just a little :)

Because bathtubs and sinks and w/e would require a complicated pipe system and some sort of powerful pump and a water tower. Do you really think that fits in TES's setting? Come on.
It's kinda like saying guns would be in Skyrim.

Besides, TES has a medieval theme, partly. People never took baths (or very very very rarely) during such times. So having a bathtub which you fill with water from a bucket wouldn't really work then either. And it wouldn't be connected to a sewer system then. So... again. No.

No, I was just curious as to how you saw it. I come off that way sometimes, though.

There are already sewers, so I'm not sure how odd it would be. I see it being done mostly with magic, though, and the mages that handle it are like the people who flunked out of mage school or something, lol.

That would be a dirty job indeed.

Agreed. Whoever made this topic is being a bit OTT. Do we really want to use our time discussing if we will have toilets etc in Skyrim... Come. On. For. God's. Sake
