Will Skyrim be like New Vegas?

Do you think that Skyrim will suffer many gamebreaking bugs similiar to the release of Fallout New Vegas do in part from the apparently nonexistant product quality control at Bethesda?

Am I the only one who didn't experience these "gamebreaking bugs" in new vegas?

Well hopefully Bethesda will spend more time on the QA than they did with New Vegas. New Vegas was in a pathetic state on release day.

You know... I doubt that any day before release, Beth would update the site saying "great news everybody! The game is finished! IT barely has enough bugs to prevent you from doing a quest, but it's finished!"

Seriously, it WON'T be buggy! It's not Obsidian, it's Bethesda!

I don't even know what people mean by 'gamebreaking bugs. I've played New Vegas for 82 hours so far and had very little problem (just the occasional crash due to some stupid thing that Windows did)

Only bugs I had with NV were Steam related issues with save games the first couple of days. /shrug

I didn't encounter that many bugs in New Vegas, one or two irritating things but nothing 'game-breaking'. And frankly, I'd rather bethesda focused on making enjoyable, quality content than on bugs. Not that I'm saying there shouldn't be an obvious effort to get rid of as many as possible but if the game is great I'm not going to mind waiting for a patch.

Okay everybody, repeat after me: " New Vegas was developed by Obsidian, not Bethesda". That said, there will, of course, be bugs that slip through testing, and most likely some will never be fixed, but game breaking bugs? I never even experienced them in New Vegas. The worst bug I experienced was the multiple npc slowdown that was fixed after the first patch.

There will always be bugs in a huge open-world game with so much going on. Usually this happens because a lot of content was added late in development (which often changes the dynamics of all the world that interacts with that content) and there wasn't enough time for testers to work on it.

As many has stated gamesas only published New Vegas they didnt develop it. Fallout 3 was fine at release i expect a few minor bugs at most if any.

Yes. But Bethesda was responsible for the Quality Assurance so they are responsible for errors.

Bethesda didn't make NV, so no there won't be as many bugs.

People still think Bethesda made this game?!... it was Obsidian.

OB and FO:3 both had minor bugs, and they were usually fixed in the GOTY versions.
So I'm not too worried about Skyrim.

edit: I always think it's funny how the OP will make a thread like this, and then apparently abandon it out of shame. ha.

Theres a limit to what gamesas could do given it wasnt in there studio. That explains why there where so many, but many of those bugs were fixed rather quick and that deserves kudos.

I seriously hope there's no gamebreakers in Skyrim. My new vegas crashes every time I play it...regardless. I've also lost 4 characters because of corrupted save files. I've had scorpions stuck in the ground. My arms raise over my head when walking around. NPC's stuck in ceiling from the head down. My character's voice change from male to female when taking damage. Night and say becoming striated. Audio issues. Freezes. Gameplay lag. Vats freezing. NPC companions disappearing. Quest items disappear....and on and on and on..... Hopefully this new/different engine will not just give us a whole bunch of new problems. Those of you who didn't experience any problems are either incredibly lucky with your New Vegas or are blatantly lying.

No, in fact I don't really remember any significant bugs in my 60hrs of gameplay, the save game issue was steam cloud related and even that didn't affect me.

There's an occasional goofy looking glitch here and there but I've never even experienced any crashes in NV.

On the other hand my save game has become corrupt multiple times and my game has crashes 50+ times in Fallout 3.

To be honest I heard that if it's on consoles then it is the responsibility of the console developer to help with QA not the publisher.
