The title says it all really....
Very unlikely. A straight port at some point, maybe. And that's also unlikely as Bethesda are working on other projects now. Ie: A new game, not a retread of a game only a couple of years old.
The work, time and resources spent on a remastering would be better spent making a new game, rather than one that a large majority have played to death.
Fair enough.
I appreciate Skyrim has been played to death, but I'd happily repeat all that on X1.
For the bazillionth time: no. This topic has been talked to death and beyond. It will not happen, Beth is done with Skyrim. Please, get over it already.
If you want improved version, it has been available since launch. It's called PC version.
No offence to the OP but that's no excuse. This forum like any other has a search function. Using it to find existing topics on the matter should be the first thing to do before posting a new one.
I find it odd how you guys flat out say no, whether or not bethesda is done with skyrim is irrelevant to what the topic is asking. As far as a retouched port of skyrim, that's a probability because they did re-release oblivion at one point after a few years. I wouldn't pass it by them to port this to the PS4/Xbox One with just retouched visuals 2-4 years down the line.
I'm afraid not. Bethesda has stated that they're done with Skyrim. I don't think porting the game to new consoles would work in their advantage.

Apart from that, welcome to the forums OP here is your complimentary http://images.uesp.net/c/c4/Fishystick.jpg! Mmm... fishy stick.
Welcome to the forums, Ace. Don't let the occasional irritated member bother you; you have as much right to post as they do.
Bethesda has never gone back to remaster or "port" a game after they've finished with it. They just don't do that.
This is one of the best arguments in favor of PC over consoles, frankly. I can still run 20-year-old Arena on my present-day PC. The initial cost of the PC may be a bit higher (not as high as some people seem to think, though), but the ability to use community-made bug patches, mods, as well as the ability to emulate older computers, makes the PC a more "universal" game machine.
Bethesda has neither confirmed or denied any plans to remaster or port Skyrim to current gen versions. So until they do, there is nothing to sticky.
Most of us assume it won't be happening, based on the fact they moved on from Skyrim long time ago and have never remastered any older games.
Like Pluto has said. They've never remastered a game. What makes Skyrim so special that they would when they have other Bethesda game titles that rival it?
Morrowind never got a remaster, so why would Skyrim?
The only reasons why the games were re released on the same console is because those versions were game of the year with download content and expansion content. Thats the only reason.
well skyrim is special game for bethesda with popularity of skyrim their fan base to the complete elder scrolls franchise has went through roof and their income too so who knows maybe they can release it for newer consoles
I have a feeling it wouldn't be a simple process considering the console versions had quite a few issues, PS3 being the worst offender. As nice as it would be, it would be a time consuming process as well as use up funds that are better spent on their newer titles.
Morrowind "went through the roof" for its time. It's still selling, 12 years after release. It's on nearly everybody's "Best Games" list.
Here's the thing... These game companies are not stupid. They know how much it costs to remake or port old games, and they can project how much they would stand to earn by doing it. They know how many people they'd have to take off a current project to do it. They can do the math, and they know the actual numbers to do the math with (we're just making wild guesses.)
Bethesda never remasters or ports anything after they're done with it. This has been their business practice for 20 years. I don't think they're going to change now.
Yes. The PS3 version was being ported (by another company) while Shivering Isles was in development.
morrowind and oblivion are still selling coz of skyrim the new fan base it brought to bethesda they are the ones buying those old games i know many people who played skyrim for the first time then went on playing morrowind and oblivion includind my 3 younger cousins.
Hail, friend. Have a http://www.uesp.net/wiki/General:Fishy_Stick.
To answer your question: Nah, Bethesda is busy with..something else that they won't talk about. Skyrim is already remastered on the PC.
Edit: Ninja'd on the fishy stick....
