Two worlds won′t have its toes where Skyrim will have its heels.

There is just no competition at all, a win by default.

It's all a matter of taste of course, but seeing as my three favourite games are Oblivion, Fallout 3 and New Vegas, I don't think you'll be hearing any complaints from my direction.

Now, now, let's not run before we can walk.
Get it to be the best RPG of all time, then we can move onto the best game

Will it be my personal favorite game of all time? Possibly. I won't know until I've played it.
Will it be the greatest game ever made? No. I can't think of any game that would qualify for that title.

That doesn't make sense..

Wait...do you mean since everyone has their own opinion no specific game can be #1? If thats what you mean, I agree

In my mind, Oblivion was the best game I have ever played. Its what got me into the series. Then I played Morrowind, an excellent game. I just felt more connected to oblivion. I believe Skyrim could pass oblivion, but I wont say for sure yet.

unfortunatly its not, I have been quite immersed in the world of Antaloor as of late..its up there with the quest variety and immersion as TES.

Its a great shame it was so slated cos of its default framerate (can improve with codes) Cant wait to pick up TW2 in a week... if anyone is looking for an open world rpg fix until skyrim, you can do a lot worse than TW.

Yes that is what I meant. And I also meant it is impossible for a game to be the greatest game ever made. Because there is always the possibility of a new and better game.

Edit* Two Worlds has way bigger problems than the framerate. I bought it day one because it sounded like a great game... I even gave it a full chance. I finished the story and got to level 50-something. If you just want a decentish experience and you don't take anything about it seriously then it can be fun. It's like a movie that is so bad it becomes good because you are making fun of it, and not because it actually does anything spectacular.

There can be a subjective "best game ever made" but then if something is better it just takes the title. What you are thinking of is "best game ever made or ever to be made". Also, the latter is possible, but will only happen once, ever, unlike the former.

I agree, but I'm thinking on the terms of a concise everyone thinks this is the greatest game ever. Morrowind is my personal favorite game of all time. But it has serious flaws, and I know a lot of people don't like it. I don't think a true "greatest game ever made" can ever happen. Because there is always room for improvement. It's a silly and moot point really, but it comes down to perspective. :)

No. The Myst Trilogy beats pretty much every other game.

It's possible, but my current top games are in a three way tie with Morrowind, Kotor, and Mass Effect 1. I'm a svcker for an involving story, something Bethesda as yet to give me. Their main plots are good, some of their side quest were great, but nothing has yet to engross me like some other game (mainly Bioware games). lol To me Bethesda and Bioware are the ying and yang of RPG's, they each excel at what the other lacks.

Hmm i found the gameplay tedious.

Anyway if there was to be a game to end all games.... this beast would be it.

Yeah nowadays turn based games can feel slow. It was still fun though. Anyways this should be moved to general discussion, it has no business here except that it has the word Skyrim in it once. This forum is about discussing actual game features, not a senseless argument about something that cannot be judged in any way before or after Skyrim is released
