[REQ] Will someone mod sniper rifle scope to function like V

Post » Thu Jul 29, 2010 12:16 pm

I am hoping this might be a simple request since the Varmint Scope already does this - I would like to have the Sniper Rifle function this way if possible.

If you have TUPAM-NV you can use the night vision with appropriate helmets while scoped. I'm sure there are some standalone night vision mods as well.

This is ridiculously easy for you to do yourself. It's just a checkbox that you need to click in the GECK. It'll take you longer to load the GECK than to make the change and save your new .esp.

edit: Just in case you have no idea what to do:

1. Install and then run GECK.
2. Click "file", then "Data", then "FalloutNV.esm."
3. After it loads, on the tree list in the left, find where it says "Items."
4. Expand "Items, then expand "weapons."
5. Either search for the rifle you want, or type part of the name in the box above the tree list. (like "sniper.")
6. Double Click on the rifle, then click on "Art and Sound."
7. Look at the bottom for a box that says "Has Night Vision."
8. Save your .esp and then activate your .esp
9. ????
10. Profit

Thanks - went and changed it myself - had no idea it was that simple. Much appreciated. I think b/c I'm not 'tech' oriented I often am intimidated by the GECK and afraid of screwing things up somehow.....
