it would be pretty cool to have those game modes in the next TES game....maybe even something like smear the bosmer.

Oh no. Just . . . no, no, no, no. Seriously, The Elder Scrolls are not the kind of games for those things.

As hilarious as smear the Bosmer seems, no, I doubt there will be such out of place game elements for an RPG.

However, I would not mind seeing an online Arena mode, in which teams of up to 4v4 can fight one another for kicks and giggles. No balancing would be done for the mode, however, so no nerfing or buffing of certain weapons etc. I just think it would be a neat addition, not something to have a whole part of the game based around.

Anyways, I'm going on too far, I should direct you to the http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1092018-tes-v-ideas-and-suggestions-166/ if you have suggestions, such as these, for TES V.

Well, capture the flag could be a in-game game you play against other NPCs and Deathmatch would obviously be an arena like fight agianst multiple opponents... though i guess that is not what the OP had in mind.

Wow... I admit, I hope TES:V will have multiplayer, but turning it into a competitive game?... Lol... no... (big if-->) IF TES:V will have mutliplayer, I would imagine, and hope, it would be like Borderlands. You can play the game Perfectly fine in single player. Infact, if it didnt have the option to play co-op, you probably wouldn't even know lol. And then of course, you can do duels with friends. All my friends agree, it would be nice to loot crap together :) (lol, had to stop myself here, almost went off explaining how I would set it up)

If it's gonna go this far, they might as well just make a TES FPS. Just a bunch of small game boards that people can run around in and kill each other. Then, release it seperately from TESV.

Imagine that. If they make the FPS their big mainstream gold quarter game. That will attract all the fans that want combat more than anything else, and they can make all their money on that.

Then they can take their time on a real big, non-mainstream RPG that focuses on exploration and character customization and actual consequences for your actions that change the course of the main quest or even prevent you from completing it entirely. And the people who hate things like that and want their hands held won't be complaining because they'll be playing the FPS.
