What happened?
The floating City of Umbriel reached land at the city of Lilmoth, and moved in a straight line towards the deserted southern coast of Vvardenfell, specifically, the site where the city of Vivec used to stand. Umbriel in turn stole the souls of and then zombified just about anything in it's path. This has the potential to have damaged in-land settlements that are relatively in between Lilmoth and VIvec, but would have left intact the majority of Black Marsh's coastal settlements and settlements closer to its borders (which are also the likely hubs of trade with foreigners and cultural exchange).

I would think so. Although, alot of resources to make it livable again I assume.

If anyone has ever played TES III: Morrowind you know there is no longer a reason for the Thalmor to go Morrowind. Wam bam thank you Nereverine.

Where the heck is the Nerevarine when you really need him. Unite the damn country already

Like all heroes, the Nerevarine was in great need of a vacation.

You know what, the Dunmer are isolationists and do not bother others unless bothered. They pose almost no thread to the Thalmor. Unless the Thalmor really hate the ash-skinned Lorkhanites, Morrowind will escape this war.

Let's hope so. We have been through enough

The nerevarine won't return, but the Dunmer can rest easily knowing that the return of Vehk and Vehk is no more then one era away.

Wow, I've been gone a while, I couldn't label my link. Also, couldn't find the Loveletter at TIL, sup wit that?

It's under "Developers" "Obscure texts" "Michael Kirkbride".
If you google it make sure to add the subtitle ( The true purpose of Tamriel ) otherwise it won't show up in your search results.

Now that I think of it, if the Thalmor invaded Cyrodiil to get rid of Talos, wouldn't they also want to get rid of Vivec if they knew about him?

No, the thing is, the Thalmor want to unmake the mundus, and the only thing holding it together at the moment is Talos, the ninth divine who took Shor's place among the Aedric pantheon. If they can remove Talos, They unmake the Mundus and go back to nonlinear time. If they'd get rid of Vivec ( who is gone anyway ), nothing would happen.

But, VEHK AE CHIM AE TALOS, no?

And I think he's not "gone", he's just "not here". But I think if you think he's gone, then a lot of people might think he's gone, so he might as well be gone to some extent, which is exactly what the Thalmor want to do with Talos. Reverse mythopoesis, right?

yep, thats the word. And yes, one could say VEHK AE CHIM AE TALOS, but that makes pretty much every discussion on lore irrelevant. And talking from the viewpoint of the Dominion, they don't have CHIM, so they wouldn't know anyway.

My point is that even if Upstart Talos were removed from the mythic, VV could make his triumphant return, and the Thalmor would still have a pillar to knock down.

Vehk ain't no pillar.

Besides, there's nothing limiting him to Morrowind anymore. The Tribunal Temple no longer exists, as a thing, anywhere, and the Dunmer forgot how to love.

The Dominion taking over Morrowind? Well, they would have to get through a couple of provinces to get there thats for sure. Not to mention they have to get through Argonians. The Hist would probabaly call them all back to fight the Dominion and I am willing to bet the AD would get their eleven backsides handed to them on silver platters.

The Argonians won't fight the AD unless their survival counts on it, attacking Morrowind would force their hand, and their hand would be an excellent one sadly for the AD. Now, how to get my fellow Bretons to stop fighting themselves and fight the AD.

"The C0DA broke when Twice Vehk appeared again from Aether, but they captured enough of Him to render the words stable again."

If he isn't a pillar per se, I still think there's something world-supportive about the guy. Maybe he's a strut, a buttress, or some kind of http://www.hiwtc.com/photo/products/20/02/16/21674.jpg

I personally wish they would. I hate the AD more than the argonians

Its on the opposite side of the continent. So not until they take Cyrodiil and Hammerfell. Which they wont. So no.

Leyawin is right next to Elsweyr. Not on the other side of the continent.

Thalmor aren't so forthrightly stupid. Stupid, but not forthrightly so. There's literally no material advantage present in Morrowind to justify the astronomical risks.

Also, Dunmer glory ended at Red Mountain, the first time.

You mean Chimer glory, don't y...

Ohhhh, I see what you did there.

I could see the Dominion doing some cosmic F-U to Morrowind (just before/)after undoing Mundus for providing the Big Stompy Robot to old Tiber.
