Some of those assets are currently archived on the http://www.facebook.com/TheElderScrolls?v=photos&ref=ts. As for the rest, we haven't lost them, and we'll soon have more to share regarding that stuff.

I personally have a feeling after game informer's exclusivity runs out they will reboot the site and have all the information up there as well as the old stuff.

I especially love the fact that most of the "not allowed" GI scans pictures are right there on that page! Haha tricky devs.

*edit*
Wait...where did they go?! WTF lol...was that a bug?

My guess is that after GI's exclusive Skyrim coverage ends, and other publications start releasing their own snippets, Bethesda will begin to release some of their own official information about the game on the website. Afterwards they'll hopefully bring back the old content and rework it into the context of the new site design. Indeed, I really miss some of the goodies that were on there, like the Morrowind-era developer diaries. :(

Hey, I realized! The "limited time" Arena/Daggerfall downloads that were up for 4+ years finally DID come to an end!

Yeah, unfortunately people have been constantly abusing the fan photo section -- to the point that I've now had to disable it. Bummer.

The Arena/Daggerfall games is also a good reason to have the old site back. I have yet to play those. Would you recommend them? (Ill probably play either way since it isThe Elder Scrolls hehehe)

Ever hear of the http://www.archive.org/?
You can use the WayBackMachine to visit any website as it was displayed in the past.

This is handy for TES, if you want to grab a patch, or in your case some old screenshots.

Most if not all of the links normally found on the Elder Scrolls site can now be found at gamesas. http://www.gamesas.com/eng/index.php

Oh, I'm so glad to hear this, I'd love to see something besides that little dragon emblem on a black screen.

I'm surprised nobody's found the time to add Skyrim to the ES forum header image yet.
