Will the Legendary Edition be worth it?

Post » Thu May 09, 2013 2:21 pm

I have the vanilla game but none of the dlc. I waited until I could buy it all on a disc. But Skyrim only has 3 dlcs and I've heard none of them are as big as Shivering Isles. Is it worth buying when it comes out? About how many hours do Dawnguard and Dragonborn add to your game?

Only worth it if you have no DLC.

Bonus to those without Skyrim as well.

Only if you don't have any of the DLC or even the actual game. Unless you want to waste your money on a new pretty cover (which isn't much different from the original). Considering you don't have any of the DLC, I recommend it. Just because none of the DLC is the same size as Shivering Isles doesn't mean its automatically not worth getting. They're still great and I prefer them over Shivering Isles actually (Inb4nostalgiafreaks).

I only have hearth fire on the 360. I'm planning on picking up the legendary edition on pc and playing with loads of mods. It's what I did with oblivion, fallout 3, and fallout new Vegas.

If you already have skyrim an would be buying the legendary edition for the same format ie 360/ps3/or pc, no its not worth it. If its to play on a different device, absolutely.

Yeah, some how I feel like this was aimed at people who didn't have a way of dling the DLC.. Too bad it [probaby] doesn't have additional patches, otherwise I'd probably buy it.

Although sometimes I wonder if I should just pick it up for my PS3, though I'm not sure what good that would do.

its only worth it if you don't have the DLC..

Although, I think it would be cheaper to just buy the DLC digitally (if you don't have a credit card, you can by pre-paid cards at the checkout of your nearest super-market).

Whats the going rate for all 3 DLCs atm? $30?

Are you asking for patches for Bethesda to put new features or patches in the legendary version, but not for those that already have the game and/or all the DLC?

That's a horrible request.

Dragonborn and Dawnguard are both $20 and Hearthfire is $5 so the whole lot of them is $45.

I'd say buy it if you want DLC's but can't get them for whatever reason and if your copy of Skyrim is getting thrashed then its useful to have a spare.
