Will the main quest storyline be nice and complex?

Morrowind's storyline had a lot of mystery, and conflicting ideas about the nature of many of the important historical events that were relevant to it. This created a sort of fantasy mystery solving vibe, which in turn made the world seem much more mysterious in general. Oblivion had some of this, although it seemed more of an optional thing you could get into as opposed to having to face the mysteries head-on to actually grasp the very fabric of the story (the nature of Mankar/ the commentaries etc).
Considering the apparent lore-heavy and mysterious nature of Alduin/Akatosh, the beginning and ending of Kalpas, and all the other interesting lore stuff that is happening with Skyrim's main story, does anyone else hope it will have that mysterious figure-it-out-yourself inclination, like morrowind did?

As it has been said directly by Bethesda that they are trying to make this game more accessible, I am seriously hoping they don't make the storyline horribly simplified, and altogether too straightforward. I want to be made to think about some deep crazy metaphysical stuff - any other handling of this portion of the lore would simply be blasphemy.

Phew, i was preparing for a "Oblivions main quest was just kill the bad guys with no lore"

Thank you for not doing that.

Between Oblivion and Fallout 3, i am going to have to say "no". It's just an excuse to get the player to go to the central parts of the map where he can make his own adventure.

As always, i reserve to right to be mistaken (and do hope i get to excersice it :hehe:), but the trend in their latest game is not exactly encouraging.

I'm hoping they make it a little more complex and give it several endings.

You are dragonborn, you kill dragons, then you kill the big dragon. The end. :celebration:

For Realz; We no little about the plot, this is one of those "wait & see things."
