Interestingly the PS3 version (no PSN and all) has a meta of 78

Probably. Right now a lot of people critiquing it are either ( a ) 360 users who are upset that the patch didn't fix all their problems and ( b ) people who are upset that this isn't like CoD or Halo.

Once everything gets straightened out and people start to realize what SD was doing the ratings will probably reflect what a good game this is.
