Actually, he's expressing concern about the game being changed post release because of complaints, which happens in this era of post release programming. If a vocal majority expresses dislike for a feature the developers often cave and change the feature, not for the sake of balance (you really think they don't know how a weapon is going to work after months of testing). Then somebody complains about something else, and then something else, and pretty soon the game is hardly comparable to what it was when it was purchased.
Generally while the feature that gets complained about could use a minor tweak in many cases, it instead gets a complete overhaul because a collection of people refuse to learn how to use it. And there have already been quite a few "I'm worried about this being OP" threads around here, as well as a great deal of misunderstanding about certain features, so there will undoubtedly be a collection of people that aren't satisfied with a particular feature and beg for it to get changed.
Nerfs are not the answer.
