Will there actually be another one?

ot: Always thought using every province in one game would be amazing, though we would have to wait til Tes X
Arena did it... Never played it, but I sure hope there's another like it. :touched:

Well this is the TES forum so Fallout discussion is irrelevant.

Yes it is irrelevant, but a bunch of people mentioned that they will likely release another Fallout before TES which makes me a sad panda.

If that's the pattern they want to work with then that's what they'll do. Though I'd prefer that the guys who made New Vegas make the next FO game, because FO3 was terrible.

But we'll just see how Skyrim goes and then I'll decide if I want another TES game or not. I'm already skeptical over how much Fallout 3 is in it.

I would have been fine with something between this 200 year gap of Oblivion to Skyrim. 200 years is a LONG time to skip, especially with all that happened. Especially with all of this stuff going on with Valenwood and the Altmer, and the new line of Emperors. The Umbriel event wouldn't make a very good game, but maybe the aftermath.

Is it me, or is Tamriel just a miserable place? It seems like every generation or so, there's some huge catastrophe that takes hundreds if not thousands of lives.

The thing we have to remember is that Skyrim is based 200years after oblivion.. So what's to say we can't revisit cyrodil or morrowind?

@Chase: There is supposedly another continent on the other side of Nirn, where the Nords came from. But we don't know if it even really exists or if it's inhabitable anymore. There's also Akivir, which has only been mentioned and never explored.

We know Atamora exists, it lies to the north and people still live there, just like people still live in whats left of Yokuda.

I'm 100% certain that in 5 or 6 years we are extremely hyped for Tes VI that will come out in 3 weeks.
These games are by far the most profitable games of bethesda, so if they want to keep the company alive and compete with the big guys, they simply have to make a new one.
And the team is dedicated enough to want to make a new one as well, so yes there will be a TES VI. And 7. And 8.

As long as it's profitable, sure. What I am curious about is it's pretty much a done deal that the next game in the series will come out for the next generation of consoles. I recently saw some demo video on a graphics feature that was going to be used for the now in danger of not happening World of Darkness MMO and some other platforms involving highly improved clothing physics. It looked pretty impressive. My fingers are crossed something like that can be integrated into the new games.
