Will there actually be another one?

Post » Tue Dec 06, 2011 12:46 pm

Well I am looking forward to skyrim a lot, but I was wondering.. will there be another elder scrolls game?
I would love to see one and am pretty sure that skyrim is not the last one because there is plenty of stuff to explore in the other countries, but I was just wondering if it is officially confirmed... yeah... I hope elder scrolls will get at least to 7 games <3

Not for a while, most likely. But TES makes Bethesda a lot of money. I don't think they'll drop it anytime soon.

Confirming another TES even before releasing Skyrim would be... well, quite absurd.

Anyway... yes, there are going to be another TES, unless Bethesda goes bankrupt because of something...

humanity allowing, I would say so. Probably back to Fallout 4 next though.

I also would love to see one in the Black Marshes. Possibly when next gen comes in for consoles.

I don't see why there wouldn't be. Probably won't be another until next gen consoles have been out for a while.

Yes.
TES popularity is ever growing. Bethesda is a bussiness, it's highly likely they'll continue making TES games until it becomes unprovitable.

That being said; Summerset Isle please! I'd like a warmer climate.

They confirmed there will be another TES for the next generation. That's the only thing though.

I'd like them to do all 9 provinces, so that would leave 6 more games :)

That's not true at all. The novels had Bosmer living there (Annaig and her father) and an Imperial visiting for a while. Morrowind is likely uninhabitable for quite a while now.

Also, yeah, it's not confirmed at all. They didn't even confirm Skyrim up until only a few months ago, like 5 years after Oblivion. But there are a few more provinces that have been unexplored and they'd be insane to end the series with so much more to explore, and let's not forget so much more money to make from it :P

Let's just hope Sony and Microsoft ditch the 360 and PS3 and start developing new consoles...
Then Bethesda can take advantage of the new technology and make an awesome Fallout 4/TES VI.
Besides we have to explore...
-Hammerfell (also around the Iliac Bay)
-High Rock (we played around the Iliac Bay)
-Valenwood
-Summerset Isles
-Elsweyr
-Black Marsh
And... there's the rest of Nirn.

Well the next xbox is already a prototype and is said to be only a few years away from being finished

ot: Always thought using every province in one game would be amazing, though we would have to wait til Tes X

I know this a bit off topic, and I will likely get flamed for this, but I don't really want anymore fallout games. Since I'm sure they are going to work on something before the new TES game, I would like them to try a new IP rather than simply making another Fallout.

Edit: And the above logic does not apply to TES since I really love this series. If you haven't noticed this all simply my opinion.

Well this is the TES forum so Fallout discussion is irrelevant.

@Chase: There is supposedly another continent on the other side of Nirn, where the Nords came from. But we don't know if it even really exists or if it's inhabitable anymore. There's also Akivir, which has only been mentioned and never explored.

Not only that, I found the following Quote online about Black Marsh. http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Black_Marsh

The cities of Stormhold and Gideon were originally founded by the Ayleids
.

Not exactly what I'd call the ideal vacation getaway, but it sounds like it would make for a great game...especially with the tensions between them and the Dunmer.
