Will there be another company available to make another vers

New Vegas was better than Oblivion, but Fallout 3 didn't have constant invisible walls guiding you on where to go in the Wasteland... New Vegas is much better once you get over that though. :D

I didn't really bumb into too many of those (Once even went on to hunt some :P), or then I just didn't consider them an issue enough in the big picture to notice them.

I honestly think the dark brotherhood quest line and the shivering isles quest line are superior to what Obsidian did with New Vegas. On the other hand Fallout 3' and the main quest line of Oblivion are weak. I don't need another company to get their hands on a TES, not even a spin-off, but I hope the good quality of New Vegas created some constructive competition and Bethesda will deliver better writing this time, including the main quest.

F3 surpassed New Vegas in several ways too...

... mainly in the ways a TES game is supposed to be good about...

I found them annoying at first because I usually just make a beeline towards whatever I need go to, whether it's invisible walls or Deathclaws in my way. Both of those were pretty good at convincing me to walk around. Once I stopped just walking in a straight line towards places I forgot they were there. And if you want to find some walls, climb up the mountains north of Novac, head south towards Novac, then try to jump down into the town. You will be stopped by my invisible buddy.

Nooooooo! Only Bethesda is allowed anywhere near their flagship jewel. I don't care that much of the Fallout franchise, but when it comes to The Elder Scrolls, this is my cult series and I don't want foster parents!

Fallout is legendary. TES isn't. That said BGS handles TES fine. Even though in my opinion after Daggerfall they've gotten sloppy.

Moving on.

Why would you honestly want a different company making ESVI?! I mean, I played NV and liked it, but there were plenty of flaws. As far as the casino-theme of it, I liked it better than Fallout 3, but that's about it. It was definitely not better than Oblivion. I'd be fine with Obsidian or someone doing an offshoot of ES like NV was for Fallout, but not one of the main games.

Nah, my wall huntin' days are over. Such a bad crop the last time, that I don't see much reason to seek them out on purpose anymore. :P

Anyway, on topic, I'd actually find it interesting if one TES title was handed over to either Obsidian, Piranha Bytes, or CDProject RED. As all those make good RPG's, and have different strengths from what Beth has (and also ones that I appreciate more in an RPG's).

You cannot be serious? FO : New Vegas was terrible.

Oblivion's quests were just fine, and unless you were cracked over the head by a boulder.. Skyrim looks amazing judging from all of the reviews, trailers, and gameplay that i've seen!

It is an interesting idea, I would certainly love it if they allowed Obsidian to take TES:V for a spin! Not only they did incredible with NV but I like their classical RPGs a LOT. And the more content we get - the better, isn't it? :)

Since Oblivion and Fallout 3 I lost my confidence that Bethesda will make tons of fun quests in their future games. Fallout New Vegas is surprisingly good, with tons of activities and fun quests. Oblivion had insufficient quests and Fallout 3 was simply empty IMO.

So will there be another company available to actually make a fun game using the Skyrim engine?

tbh, FNV is fells more emptier than F3 for me.

you see... FNV has tons of guns, tons of ammo and tons of recipe

but, after you finished many quest, including the quests that has shooting rave party, there's nothing much shooting to do here

after clearing quarry junction quest, there's no more deathclaws there

after kill fiends leader quest, there's more fiends to shoot at. even there was they're spawned near NCR patrols

what's the leftovers are

caesar troops (or whatever the faction you fought)
cazadors (pretty challenging)
giant mantis (meh)
passive hostile bighorns (meh)
radscorpions (pretty good fight)
geckos (lulz)

not mention there's almost no single encounter on the 'safe' road

yeah this game gets boring after killing related quest are done

I can't tell if this is a serious post or a troll. =/
Because New Vegas was probably the worst game in the last 5 years.

Its an interesting idea. I think it makes sense that Bethesda develop the main title, but what Obsidian did with the Fallout spin off, New Vegas was really interesting. They brought different strengths and weaknesses to the same engine. Better writing, different approach to guiding the player, more bugs. Personally I loved New Vegas, and I wouldn't object to seeing Obsidian do a "spin off" of Skyrim. I'd buy it in a heartbeat if they did, but I think their strengths lie in plotting and scripting rather than building and developing new engines.

Edit: I would also be grateful if some of the people stating that New Vegas or Fallout 3 was terrible say why. Without some kind of substance behind your statement, its largely worthless.

couldnt disagree more i played fallout 3 over and over and i still have new vegas laying around somewhere largely untouched should have never even bought it i wouldnt have if it wasnt for how much i like fallout 3 but it wasnt nearly as fun even being nearly the same type deal something about the game never caught my attention.

What would be really awesome is if they allowed another company to make another province that will be joined to Skyrim - like Oblivion's additional landmasses mods, or Morrowind's province rebuild. I would love a game with more than one province to explore! :)

The only bad quests were new vegas which overall was just fallout 3 in desert form but bethesda brout the elder scrolls games out of the dark n made it an open world game which is the best part of all the games and oblivon n fallout 3 quests are argubally amazing

I like FO3 and NV equal.
Spoiler
NV has more boring start and it's pretty linear before you get to Vegas itself.
But after that it's much more complex and it has much more quests than FO3. FO3 has the better world but it lacks quests and the main quest is boring and it is too easy compared to NV. Giving TES to another company? It will never happen.

I'm honestly curious as to what was there in Oblivion that people so much like, because when I played it, it was pretty bland as an overall experience?

I kinda agree. I actually think that Fallout 3 and particularly new vegas were better games, but I'm just a svcker for Fantasy games, and I love the level up through use system of the elder scrolls - so I enjoyed TES more.
