So Will There Be Any Daedra In Skyrim?

Post » Thu Feb 17, 2011 4:39 am

Same here. Dremora are my favorite Daedra. :D

It's a toss up for me. I love The Dremora, The Aureal (Golden Saints) AND The Mazkan. I REALLY would love to know more of how they relate to one another in instances where they come into contact. And I long to see and learn more of the lesser Daedra allies of Sanguine. . . they might replace all the others in my fondess. Lol.

i wonder how dremora will look in this game o.0 also on the subject of daedric princes anyone else think jyggalag will have a shrine there and will his followers have some animosity towards sheogorath worshipers?

Why wouldn't there be daedra? There were still daedra in Cyrodiil after the gates to Oblivion were closed. I'm pretty sure that what Martin Septim and the Champion of Cyrodiil did was ensure that there could never be such an amount of portals between planes again that could allow a full scale invasion, however, the occasional creeper sneaking into Mundus poses no real threat the peoples of Tamriel as a whole.

I'd assume there's at least some, they've been in every TES so far. Though, they'll probably just be in daedric ruins/shrines, nothing too big.

There will be some cause there's gotta be right?! Wouldn't be the same without them. Though, expect a huge reduction from Oblivion as god help us, there better NOT be another gate infestation, and there wont be, so less Daedra

Well if Martin sealed the wall between oblivion and mundas forever, and Oblivion is all daedric realms not just the deadlands...,then there can't be any daedra without a retcon. so gooooo retcon!

No, it would just be as it was before. Lesser Daedra are in Mundus constantly. Even in Morrowind you could roam around and get attacked by a Golden Saint, or see Dremora and other Daedra in the Daedric ruins. People commonly have the misconception that sealing off Oblivion from Mundus means that nothing Daedric can ever enter again, which is not true, they just can't enter uninvited. Invitations are given out quite often.

Are you referring to Dagon's Daedra? I don't think we will be seeing much of them. Maybe others. Aren't werewolves technically Daedra? Since they are Hircine's hunters?

No, they're all men or mer or beast, afflicted with the disease. Kind of like the "mortals" you see in the Shivering Isles, I'd imagine.

It sets things back to the way they before: Daedra cannot enter Mundus uninvited.

I'm tempted to invite Mehrunes Dagon into the realm.

I don't see then not in the game. I can see lot of Deadra worshipers converge on Oblivion gate ruins and hang out there. I can even see a quest where some try to reopen a gate. They'll be just like they where in Daggerfall and Morrowind, they'll be there, just no gates to enter. There'll be ones that got summoned and staggers that exited the gates and where never killed I'm sure.

The novel showed at least a temporary gateway can be made. You also visited Viles realm in Redguard, so Oblivion is still a factor, just not on the scale of Oblivion where armys of Deadra could enter and the barrier breaking where a prince can enter. Minus Arena, Deadra are in every game, and even then you can argue they are in Arena, there are references Prices and such, they just didn't have the name of Daedra.

The Origins of Werewolves my lie with the Daedra and Prince Hircine, just as the origins of vampires in ES lie with Prince Molag Bal.

As to The Daedra. . . how could I have forgotten. . . of course there is already clear evidence that they are not only still to be found in Nirn after Oblivion, but still have some limited power to access it. Recall, however you played the game, in the History of Tameriel, both Nights of The Nine and Shivering Isles occur AFTER the Oblivion crisis. In the one, Lesser Daedra allied to Meridia appear in Nirn in the service of Umaril, the Half-Daedra Half-Ayelid once king of Cyrodil. They even attack the chapels of certain Aedra Gods, defiling the alters and blocking blessings from flowing from them. In the latter case, A Daedric Prince opens a long term gate into Oblivion, one which mortals can both enter and exit. Most interestingly, not only does the gate appear in Nirn, but an entire islet out of Oblivion's Shivering Isles. So while the deeds of Martin and Akatosh which ended The Oblivion Crisis no doubt assure that Mehrunes Dagon cannot walk into Nirn (at least until he figures out a new loophole), and that whole armies of Daedra cannot suddenly descend upon Mundus, it does not preclude Daedra from being invited into Nirn, nor from dwelling within it under certain circumstances. :obliviongate:

The Daedra in Morrowind were being let in by a gate in Red Mountain. That's why they made the ghost fence. Daedra come to Mundus a lot. It's just that normally they can't launch a full scale invasion of the mortal realm without help. They'll be in Skyrim, there just won't be an invasion like in Morrowind and OB.
