Will there be a Dark Tower Easter Egg in Honest Hearts?

Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 7:54 pm

Hey guys,

I was just wondering, seeing as Honest Hearts looks to be set in New Canaan, a location that's also mentioned in The Dark Tower series as the main character's homeland (at least in the first book), will there be an easter egg for Wild Wasteland? It'd be pretty cool to find a really old fashioned revolver called "Roland's Revolver" or something.

Depends if the Devs like "The Dark Tower." Not sure how they come up with Easter Egg ideas.

Easter Eggs are typically an afterthought. Usually a bit of a signature that's hidden.

There damn well should be. What were his revolver's chambered for, .44 or .45? I can't remember exactly; anyways, a pair of revolvers with sandalwood grips would be awesome.

It's not an easter egg if there's mention of it before release. You stumble on those things as you play along.

I've just bought The Dark Tower, coincidentally. I intend to start it this evening. My friend says it's amazing. King's crowning achievement.

I considered the Dark Tower to start good, but there was a massive dip in quality in the books he wrote after his accident.
