Post » Mon Feb 24, 2014 3:37 pm

I hope there is some... big fan of them...

if not.. then I'll make some.... :mage: :mage: :mage:

Loved the dragons in Skyrim... wasn't a fan of killing them.. but it had to be done... loved the storyline too... :bunny: :bunny:

No dragons at launch, no idea whether any will be added, since there aren't many around at that time in Tamriel.

lol, maybe. Not all the dragons were dead when the last Dragonborn came about. Might be something saved for an expansion :icecream:

Dragons are sleeping in Skyrim atm, the timeline is before the events in Skyrim.

No, the dragons were dead. Alduin was resurrecting them. Only 4 remained after the rest had been killed thousand of years before, so it's feasible we can encounter one, just not engage it in combat.

I've heard mixed reports on this, with a lot of heated arguments pro and con. I don't know why they were ever controversial, I enjoyed them in Skyrim. Are they somehow a problem fitting into the lore?

Because the game is set in an already established story line it would be very difficult to add dragons (especially as something you could fight) without breaking the lore of the game.

The lore says they are all dead with several exceptions that are unlikely to involve in the conflict.

What with them being generaly speaking all dead with few rare exceptions, yes there is sligth problem with fitting them in to lore.

Yes.

There are a limited number of dragons known to be awake or alive in the period of ESO. There are lists, actually. Running into a dragon that was supposed to be around at some point for a quest *might* not be bad.

Having hundreds of dragons around for teh coolness would be bad. Running into them as run of the mill bosses would be bad. There are new daedric critters for people who want to get killed by a monster, they don't have to dig up dragons for it.

The absence of their presence don't means they are dead. They are a endangered species, but they do exist.

As we can explore all of Tamriel, encountering a dragon is quite possible, but to engage and kill the dragon would ruin the lore for future events. Specifically, ES V: Skyrim.

And as the blades had spent all their efforts in hunting them down, players coming across them, could also create a problem. If a 'nobody' adventurer can find one, how come dedicated dragon slayers can't?

If you were one of the few (random number) 10 to survive, would you go hop into the world and say "sup guys"?

I hope they don't get added, to keep the lore as intact as possible, the ones that survived would be far more busy to stay hidden than to harass random towns in the world.

MAYBE, in a remote location, add a passer by dragon, meaning since its in a remote location, any one who would see it would basically just be taken for crazy by the rest, remaining just a legend.

Still overall, let them sleep until Skyrim.

Ah, so it was about the lore. But isn't that why Alduin was resurrecting them in the 4th Era? Conceivably someone in the 2nd Era could have figured out also how to do this.

Doesn't this game takes place before the time of Tiber Septim by about 300 years, so there are living dragons alive at this time.

Edit- Not as many as before the Dragon War, but still many more than there were after they got exterminated during the time of Tiber Septim.

Honestly, I would just prefer to draggies. I mean, if so, they have to be EPIC. Like max players in zone .. several hours .. dozens of sweet rolls .. but in the end for what? /roll for few 1337 gear? That's is what usually comes out to be .. i've been in boss raids where I hardly had to do anything (not by choice, but by effective players) .. yet even gear for my class that no one else was, still didn't get anything.

I would not object if there were a dragon NPC as part of a major quest arc, or one (ONE) as a boss somewhere in the game.

Hmm, like how everyone says there's no dragons when they don't even know...

Hate to spoil it for you all but I've seen a dragon in the pvp area, in the center of the map.

So there you go, yes there are dragons.

I have personally seen a Dragon in Cyrodil during the beta. Our warband was running to defend a keep and I saw it off to my right. Looked like some sort event as there were some mobs surrounding it and they were all in some kinda broken structure. Couldn't stick around to long though had to get to the keep.

ugh, why does no one pay attention to lore.

the dragons are all dead right now. bar a couple, one of which is paarthunax who is living up in the throat of the world, another being the one dragon that is trapped in the soul cairn. theres a few more, not that I remember any of their names or where they are.

my point is no one knows they exist, and if people did they would be hunted down and killed. we won't see them in ESO.

that was a daedric titan, not a dragon.

dragons aren't in the game, or in the universe at this time. its impossible for them to be there.
