Will there be mind-altering plants in Skyrim?

Post » Fri Sep 23, 2011 10:15 am

With all this talk about alchemy and potions, it made me think if you could make potions that made your character see things. Like see random colors, random creatures, maybe have it be a side-effect of doing something too much. Has any talk been made about something like this?

Drinking is legal... "mind altering plants" are not. That weighs heavily on the esrb rating.

   NVM, I completely forgot about murder in games. So, maybe yes to "mind-altering plants"

That depends on what you drink.

So does it have an effect on you? Would it be harder to control where you walk or fall over more easily?

Your forgetting the fact that there was a mind altering plant in OB. For the fighter guild quest. With them mind altering plants you kill off a village(and them poor poor sheep o.o ) who are made to look like goblins

The properties of flora found in Tamriel range from inducing magical affects to death. Some of them are capable of affecting intelligence. There are also plants, such as tobacco, that have been featured so there you go.
