Will there be a patch to fix the lak of innovation

The new civil war: Stormcloacks vs. The Empire "I want Daggerfall/Morrowind 2.0 and spreadsheets" vs. "I want them to change more things!"

What sort of innovation would you propose? What they (Bethesda) are presenting here is essentially an open world where you can go where ever and do whatever you want to. At this point, any lack of innovation becomes user error (i.e. perhaps it is only you, the player, who is unwilling or not innovative enough to play the game in new and exciting ways that other players may already be doing right now).

In this scenario, the only form of innovation is merely to further enable the player to do whatever they want in more immersive environments. I feel like they've succeeded on that level in every way.

If you can think of some further innovation that would make the game better (aside from the obvious fixing bugs), then by all means please expound on your ideas.

Gee, I don't know...
Updated bones that allow for fluid animations without the meshes deforming?
Motion capture?
Cloth physics?
Hair physics?
One cuirass/braces/hair mesh combo that doesn't clip?
Or maybe some non-static sheaths? Or ones that don't go through legs?
Or how about a little more gripping stories? I guess it is cool and all that your toon can play tag with a kid toon...

That's not innovation.

Neither is "make it better" a constructive criticism.

Most of those are graphical issues and are related to the console hardware, bro.

the reason the game in the same series stays the same is because that is what the people who play the games like. I mean how much sense would it make if a game like COD changed from an FPS game to a point and click adventure game

HA!

Bethesda are changing their games.. WAY too much. I liked The Elder Scrolls for what it is, why change a formula that works perfectly fine?

TES is not Final Fantasy. It is not Mass Effect or Assassin's Creed or Call of Duty. It is :tes: ...and thank God Bethesda doesn't want to change the formula most of us love.

I think the game is great!

No? What do they qualify as?

innovation - Definition
[in-uh-vey-shuhn]
(n.) Something new or different introduced

None of what I listed has been present in TES before, ergo, they would be innovations to TES. No?

Flinging your [censored] around like a monkey hasn't been present in the previous ES games either. That makes it innovative, so I want it to be in the next update for Skyrim!!!

Pointless aesthetics that would just needlessly tax system performance. I'd rather innovative content, not innovative pageantry.
