Will There be a Statistics Feature?

Post » Mon May 16, 2011 10:54 am

I havent heard any confirmation about a feature like this, but I loved how in Red Dead Redemption it kept track of every little detail of your play through. Other games including TES have had similar features, but I found RDR's to be exceptionally in depth.

Does any one know or think that Skyrim will be a little more detailed in this aspect? I want to keep track of every wolf, mammoth, orc, etc that I kill. How many locks have I picked? Whats my biggest theft? Skooma Drank? Duels won? Wood chopped?

What do you guys and gals think?

Oblivion had a pretty huge aspect of this and I sure hope they add more to it now that we have so many new things we can do. I'm 99% sure they have not forgotten about this in Skyrim and that there will be an aspect like this :)

I agree that OB did have a lot, but many of them were cut and dry, or 'important' stats. I want a little more of the obscure, like I said above I want to keep track of some of the funnier thats that late in the game you look at and say wow, Ive killed 100 mammoths. Or Ive run 20 miles.

But overall your probably right. I doubt they would leave this out of Skryim.

Ice trolls killed: 67
Ice trolls decapitated: 19

Finishing moves anyone? No but seriously I would like stat keeping.

Just keep all your bear and wolf pelts etc. in a chest, hey presto a half of a bit of record keeping. :deal: :whistling:

I definitely want a feature like this. I love stats pages on games, its very interesting. I personally hope they do something like in DA:O with a stat like "hardest enemy killed". That was really cool!

I liked that too. I didn't pay much attention to it in Oblivion but I like the DA:O one. I'd like to see this in Skyrim.

All I care about is a total time played value and a time played per character value. Time spent in the main menu shouldn't count towards anything.

Stats don't really matter to me  As long as I can understand how my skills are developing, what I need to work on to improve them - I'll be good to go. The only stat in OB that I cared about was fame/infamy or whatever it was in order to manipulate prices.

Maybe if there's a skillbooks read stat as well, assuming I'd dig up the total number in the game from someplace, assuming skill books are in the game.

Fallout 3 had a number of "less serious" statistics, didn't it? Like "Pants Exploded?" :)

(Of course, that fit more with the tongue-in-cheek attitude of the game.)

I'd love to see more statistics as well, including specific enemy kills, finishing moves performed, children rescued from wells(!), etc.

I'm sure they will have a stats menu it's something a lot of people like to use. I always thought that GTA had the best stat feature. I remember San Andreas tracked tons of stuff.

Skyrim is supposed to 'track' you more than any other TES game. All those dungeons that will allegedly be filled with enemies that 'suit' your play style. I hope the game rewards you via its stat tracking with unlocks. Kill 100 Ice Wraiths and you unlock a 'Bane of Wraiths' achievement which grants you a special finishing move when combating these foes.

A stats page in Skyrim sounds like a great idea. OB had one, but like others have said, it was more about stuff no one cares about.

We don't know.
Oblivion had one, although I find it odd you compare it to RDD instead of Oblivion, since Oblivion is a TES game and RDD is not. :P

I like the idea of earning special rewards (such as unique finishers) for completing achievements. It would be kind of cool if something like that was in the game.

Yes, it would be cool. Unlikely, but cool.

Me too, as long as they are entirely cosmetic. I don't think my character should get some armor just because he felt up 300 Rice Bags.

I to hope the game will not keep track of this either. What me and my rice bags do in the privacy of our own home is nobody's business.

Skooma Drank?

Gosh, yeah. That would be useful. I always ask myself that question when I wake up in the morning in some corner without my armour, gold or recollection of what happened the night before...

They shoud implement a statistics feature for "mead drunk"as well so my character can keep track of that.
