Will they include this?

Remember back in morrowind you was standing on something like a stump and you looked down and you didnt see your legs, I think it would be neat if you could see your legs when you look down, And to see your reflection in water/mirror/glass cups etc, and when your stumbling, or falling to see your arms/hands/fingers moving, Would it be included in game though? (:

Not sure, but cool idea, it would also be cool to see your hand when you grab stuff. Im sure Skyrim will have plenty of suprises, who knows? We might even be able to climb trees :P

I think it would definitely add to the game and make it more realistic. Though there's also a chance that it would be incredibly annoying if you stumbled all the time. There might be problems with it looking a bit fake.
The reflection thing is a good idea though, but it's probably an incredibly complex thing to program because of how many NPCs there are as well.

I ment stumble as in, like when in the trailer he almost fell off the ledge when the dragon was coming, and the hands were were waving-ish about, I agree with you that it would be annoying to stumble all the time.

They could probably do this, I was playing GRAW 2 and one time the cinematic with movable camera bugged so I got to see how it's implemented. You would have to either set it up so your characters head is bent over so it looks like (if the cam bugs or you enable free roam camera) that your head is laying on your back, looking backwards, or you just completely disable the head all together. Then the camera is positioned where your head would normally be and when you move between camera styles (first and third person), the head makes corrections to make it look more realistic. Of course, that might look rough, because GRAW 2 wasn't a FPS, so they might want to study how Mirror's Edge handled their FPS camera.

Only played that once, but the camera angles were quite good, I liked it, But I hope they implant this into skyrim, i think it would add a edge and realism to this game, which would be cool:)

Honestly, I don't see the attraction or need. But, then, I don't have any problem thinking of my character in first-person games as a "whole person" rather than a camera-with-arms.

Agreed, I felt like a ghost in Oblivion and Morrowind, I especially felt like a ghost with all those creepy stares you get from Oblivion NPCs :P

I like looking down and seeing your body. It's better than being a floating camera with arms attached to the lens. ;)

I can't imagine it would be too difficult to implement, but I have never understood why people care so much about being able to see your limbs when you look down, I mean, Mirror's Edge had it and so did Portal and The Darkness but it didn't take any Immersion away from me while I was playing Morrowind or Oblivion.
It would be good to have but I don't really care.

I wouldn't doubt they will with the new creation engine and all the detail they are putting into it.

Agreed. It adds more immersion for me, makes you actually feel like a part of the world

I remember a long time back reading something about why game developers often choose not to do this. It said something about how to implement it properly you need to put camera on a pivot to create the effect of the neck bending when you look down (vs the camera just rotating with a typical fpp game), but this is apparently disorienting for some people.

Don't care. I've played games that had this uber-immersive "you can see your feet" feature, and I never even noticed it until someone else pointed it out to me. Based on that it rather strikes me as a waste of dev time but meh, whatever.

I got excited at the prospect of a thread with a new idea. Add this one to the "see-your-feet thread" pile.

I've seen fan mods for HL2 that included that and they were kinda good. So with Bethesda, a big manly gaming company thing, I think it is possible.
